I have a little dog that barks at the rattle in her head.Quick question for any of you all who have chased wiring in the head liner. I have a squeak that makes noise just behind my head, in liner and when it does it , I just push the head liner up toward the roof and it quits. It's like its loose where it may clip in up there, don't know, any ideas to you all who have gotten them down as to what's up in the ceiling behind drivers head. Yes I know this is a ttpms thread and I'm being a high jacking jerk but I've seen you guys discuss what's above the head liner numerous times so I figure you all know best
Hey, i do that to, after a few drinks anywayI have a little dog that barks at the rattle in her head.
No, no pin needed, for the ttpmsI've gathered up some of the parts for the TTPMS, and waiting on some parts back ordered. With AlfaOBD do you have to have a factory vehicle pin number to access the vehicles software components? I read on another forum something about having to go to the dealer to get the pin number.
Don’t worry about the PIN, it’s not needed for changes to the BCM. On the 4th gens, the PIN is needed for any changes that have to do with the RF Hub, like tire threshold changes, programming a key fob, reset/replace the RF Hub, etc. For these 2019+ RF Hubs, they require a live connection to dealer connect to be able to utilize a rolling PIN- therefore, AlfaOBD can not program a fob. These new RF Hubs also automatically recognize tire pressure threshold changes in the BCM, so no need to reset the hub anymore.///mobley, thanks! What about other feature one might want to change, is a pin needed then with AlfaOBD, will see about getting.

Has anyone else had any experience in the headliner chasing the ttpms wiring to know what might be behind the drivers head as far as wiring or snap on connections.
I had the after market for 3yrs and enjoyed it but was aggravated at times with dying batteries and poor connections from batteries. Then there was the minor inconvenience of having to get your special wrench out every time to remove sensors to put air into tire.First of all, you are all geniuses for figuring this out. Very impressive.
Do you think it is worth the effort and cost versus buying an after market system? What are the advantages/disadvantages of using the Ram system? Obviously it is nice to not have a separate display, but is the system any better?
The advantages I see with after market systems is cost, ease of installation, and the ability to transfer the sensors to another trailer with almost no effort.
As cool as it would be to install the Ram system, it seems like a pita and perhaps not worth the effort.
Appreciate any thoughts.
I just wanted to say thanks to all who took the time and effort to figure out how to get this done. I was very disappointed in Ram when I received my truck and the TPMS wasn't there; this after seeing movies and such touting its existence. Shame on Ram for doing this to customers. This is my 1st Ram as I have been a loyal Ford guy my entire life. It would be nice for Ram to reimburse us for the parts but I won't hold my breath.
One benefit to this was I was able to adjust my DTE (Distance to Empty) on my dash while using AlphaOBD. I took my car to the dealer and they could not do it. I contracted with a diesel tuner as he told me he could do it; he couldn't and I got my money back. Then, while in AlphaOBD, I see the menu selection for the gas tank. I had to convert gallons to liters and after entering the proper number of liters for my Titan fuel tank and immediately after pressing the program button, I saw my Range meter showing the true miles to empty. Pretty cool!
So, thanks to the guys who took the time to document the install, programming, parts list, and everything else to get this done. And thanks to Jimmy07 for the harness that apparently still isn't available. You guys should all be proud of the reverse-engineering you did to do for us what Ram would not. you guys rock!
I have a 50 gallon tank so I set it at 189.27 liters. I have taken several trips with and without the 5th wheel and the new DTE seems spot on.How big is that tank and what value did you use? @Phil T is having issues setting it higher than 194 liters for a 62(?) gal tank.
