I did a forum search and couldn't find the obligatory "how many miles" thread, so here it is! How many miles have you racked up on your 4.5 gen (or 5th gen, depending on your perspective) Ram diesel truck? Please list year, model (2500, 3500), trim, standard or HO, and whether or not you've had some issues, lots of issues, or no issues at all? Overall, are you content, completely satisfied, or totally regretting your purchase and ready to send it off a cliff? I'll start...

2024 3500 SRW Bighorn HO/Aisin, 3100 miles. At this point I'm content but some of the horror stories have me concerned. The truck is currently at the dealership with a very persistent alignment issue, it pulls to the right and the steering wheel is not properly clocked. Otherwise, so far so good!

Ok, now you.... ;)

2024 3500 Laramie 6’4” tub. Leather interior, bright white, 4x4 picked her up 18 July
6.7 SO Cummins and 68RFE 9536km living in Australia.
Very happy with my purchase so far, I too had wheel alignment concerns and had it back to the dealer and they did a good job I thought until I had my tyres swapped on Thursday for 295/70/18 Maxxis Razr At 811 and my local tyre shop did the wheel alignment again. Now I know what she should feel like and its awesome.
Cant wait for our next outing towing the van.
Like you I did a insane lot of research before deciding what to buy. We have zero choice in Australia when you buy a 3500 its as above.
I knew what the possible concerns could be and excepted it and I am slowly preparing my self with a few preventative mods to hopefully not run into some of the minor and one major concerns. The best advice I can give is maintenance is key I personally cut everything in half the recommended intervals are, except the engine oil is every 5000km to me oil is cheaper than having a vehicle sit for weeks at a dealership. My service schedules are for me and in no way am I claiming I wont have dramas I am hoping my habit will keep working for me as it has been working for me my whole life. I only had amazing results.

Already a thread for the hemi’s. Maybe change your title if there isn’t already one for cummins trucks.

2019 6.7 2500 45,000 klick-o-meters. She’s good but will be better when she’s goes on the weight watchers. ;)

Actually, nobody calls them 5th gens because they aren’t
Nobody? Are ya sure? Because a quick Google search disagrees with you, with countless thousands of examples.

It's amazing to me how often silly semantics come up in these forums. When you read the thread title, were you confused about the subject of the thread?

I just spent a few minutes clicking some stuff too. Correct me if I'm wrong (still learning this stuff!) but it appears maybe the term "5th gen" refers only to the 1500 model trucks, and not any HD trucks? Cuz if that is indeed the case, then I understand why our HD trucks are not "5th gen" and the references I've heard/read are using the term technically incorrectly, as I have.
