MPGs with 6.4 Hemi and new 8-speed?

Anybody with this combination care to share what kind of MPG they're getting with the new 8-speed and 6.4 combo?
 
@hutchman has fuelly on his signature at it is looking to be an average of 15.6 or so with 31 fuel ups... he is also driving a Tradesman.

I'm still running the 1st tank from the dealer and the onboard is claiming close to 14, won't know for sure what it is until I fuel up again in a couple of days.
 
Yep, 10000 mile average is in my siggy. It started out about 14.5 - 15 but got better as it loosened up.
 
I'm averaging about 13 MPG right now. But I also have 37's and a level kit installed on mine, and aftermarket wheels.

Did the 2016's have MDS? What would be the difference then, tranny a bit of weight?
 
I'm 2 tanks in and averaging around 11.5. I can have a heavy foot. If I did more highway driving I believe I'd get close to @hutchman numbers.
 
Yes since 2014 when theY introduced the 6.4l it has had MDS. The 2019 is about 200 lbs lighter and has 2 more speeds with the gearing more properly spread for the torque curve of the mighty 392 HEMI. Aerodynamics is also better on the 2019.
 
I am averaging about 11MPG on the dash. Truck has 3.73s in it and ~450mi. Mind you about half of that has been hauling either a 24.5' boat or a 22' car hauler. Not hauling, I'm probably averaging about 13 mpg.
 
For what it is worth, another data point.

Driving back and forth to work (16 miles), I'm just about at 13mpg.

Took a little trip with the truck today... 3 adults in the truck and some odds and ends.
Close to 140 miles, about 80 miles or so on the Interstate and about 55 miles on State Roads with minimal in town driving.

Kept the truck at 70 mph the entire way up gassed up on the way out, 138.4 miles 16.25 mpg.
Kept the truck at 75 mph the entire way back home, gassed up just before hitting home, 135.9 miles 16.00 mpg

That's better than my 2019 Limited 1500...
 
From my experience you drop that speed to 60 mph...which i know is to slow for the highway...and you will be pushing 18.

My 6speed loves 50mph...that is its sweet spot. On backroads and even towing that is the speed it prefers.

Why, I guess back in the 70s they made the national limit 55 mph.

Oh, absolutely... I think 60/65 puts it right at/under 1500 rpm. And yeah, if towing I'd likely take side roads anyway unless I absolutely had to take the super slab.
 
The 392 HEMI sings the perfect song at 45 to 55 mph with a load.

I am very pleased with the motor and will be happy with the transmission until I make my decision about what is next. Think I can be held content til the full redesign happens...or atleast til I hear what the GAS HD wars bring in the next year.
 
2022, but quite possibly 2032, for the Cabs and bed.

The Gas wars were heating up,but the flame has died down. Not much more info. But, I would sure bet whatever Furd or Chivvy comes out with, RAM will not let the current GAS accolades go.
 
Whatever gasser they develop I hope they figure out the cam/lifter problem. Way too many failures out there.
