What did you do TO your RAM today?

Got an alignment done today after having the Carli kit put on and put around 1000km on it.
Should of done it sooner drives so much better. Got it aligned to the Thuren specs.

Also got my Apex draglink delivered and the crowsfeet , which need painted. But damn they are beefy! One last thing before the road trip to the Arctic!

Are the Thuren Specs the specs we need to give to the alignment tech even though I'm just stock, not running any aftermarket suspension parts? No Thuren stuff yet.

I believe alot of people use the thuren specs
on stock trucks as well as the lifted trucks.Maybe someone else can confirm. But I couldn't see any downside to having them set it thuren's while having stock suspension.

It will make a difference. Just reset my TOE to 0 and it is better for sure. Caster next.

This is my favorite thread on all the other forums I’m part of it. I haven’t seen it on this sight. If I’m duplicating, I’ll delete! But here is what I did today.
I put on Diesel Fuel and DEF caps and called about Ranch Hand replacement bumper I’m ordering.View attachment 4679View attachment 4681
I have the same cap for my diesel inlet. It’s a shame that we are given trucks with just. Rubber gum gasket if protection with a spring from the factory.

Well done sir

Finished up a couple more projects today. First one was a fuse block + power terminal under the hood.

Had a bracket cut at SendCutSend.com

Cut off the smaller mounting tab and cleaned up the burrs on the edges.

Put in a few bends and had it powder coated. The smaller tab bolts to the larger bracket.

Assembled and installed a 10-slot fuse box and a 5/16" (8mm) power terminal.

Removed the plastic trim under the leading edge of the hood to get to the corner brace, then drilled a couple of holes in the brace. (Holes not drilled yet in this picture. Forgot to take a picture after drilling!)

Installed the bracket and fuse box onto the corner brace.

Replaced the plastic trim and put the cap on the fuse box.

So far I have my battery tender (both positive and negative are fused) in slots 1 and 2, and my air horn in slot 5. Future plans are for an ARB dual air compressor which requires 2 fuses - those will go in slots 3 and 4. Then I'll install a 2-axle/6-tire tire inflation/deflation system. That'll go in slot 6. The bracket is easily removable so I can add circuits in the future.

Put new shoes on the truck today. Went with the new Falken Wildpeak AT4/W in a 35x12.5 r18. I only have about 50 miles on them so far but initial impressions are great. Super smooth, virtually silent compared to the KM3s I had on previously. Hopefully these perform as well in the snow as the AT3/Ws did.

Second project was installation of my air horn.

I used the same bracket that I made for my battery tender, just bent in reverse. Battery tender is on the left side of the truck, air horn is on the right. I made a diagonal support for the end of the horn. It's 18" long, so it needed some support.

Powder coated the brackets.

Installed the horn behind the front-right corner of the bumper. Sorry for the crappy picture - difficult position to get a good photo. This is taken from laying on the ground looking up into the bumper area. The horn is installed just below the fog light. Hard to see in this picture, but the air horn is aimed out of the tow hook hole in the bumper.20240607_110415.jpg

I made a small PDC with 2 fuses and 2 relays that ties into the VSIM under the dash. The first relay provides conditional control - the air horn will only work when the truck is running and the horn button on the steering wheel is pressed. That way I don't blast myself and my neighbors every time I lock my truck. The second relay ties into the "wig wag" feature of the high beams and tail lights. When the air horn is enabled, so are the wig wags. When I honk my horn, I also flash. I also installed an enable/disable switch on the steering column boot. It's just below the pedal adjustment cover, and in front of the tilt adjust lever. That switch has to be on for the air horn to work. Sometimes, you need to give a friendly honk.

The PDC under the dash outputs a single wire - a trigger wire to the relay that controls the air horn (mounted with the air horn behind the front bumper). I routed the wire through the firewall through a small phallic looking protrusion in the main wiring harness boot. This is a view from under the dash. I left the wire exposed in this photo for clarity, but it's wrapped in fabric electrical tape now.

The wire comes out in a really difficult place to get to (and photograph). Again, the wire is exposed for clarity. I had to remove the OE auxiliary fuse box (diesels and Aux switch) to be able to get to the wire.

Overall, the horn sounds pretty good. It's not as loud as I'd like, but that will change once I install my on-board air system. But I like that it has a lower tone then some of the triple horn kits with short trumpets. I wired it to operate in conjunction with the OE horns just for some extra volume and higher tones.
