Anybody Have Any Issues with the new HD's yet?

Why would it be illegal to drive around with a hitch on ? Please.

The only law out there is not to cover up your licence plate with a multi use hich.

Agree, post up the reference statute or it's not true.

Remember, these are not commercial trucks so those laws have no bearing.
Alberta Traffic Safety Act, fine is $115, and if not towing only truck balls are allowed

That's good to know, but you should have stated this was a Canadian law from the get go. While this is a born in Canada site, I would venture a guess the bulk of the membership is US based.

I think US based trucks are where you're going to find a larger contingent of "truck balls" too, particularly in the south and more toothless areas.

Looked it up for Washington state, it is only illegal if it obstructs license plate, otherwise you’re good.

Here's a tip for anyone that might be looking at these tri-ball drop hitches. SInce my B&W was setting of my backup alarm I though I would take a look at the Reese TowPower Tri-Ball W/Step because when stowed the shank would be lower and thinner than the B&W. I downloaded the installation instructions and it clearly showed, and talked about, being able to drop the ball mount and turn it around to go up into the "STOWED POSTION". Had a picture of it "stowed". I picked one up reasonable on eBay and when it arrived the Instructions with it also showed being able to put the ball mount into the stowed position. But to my dismay, there was a 3" x 1 1/4" steel block welded to the under truck side of the vertical shank that prevented the ball mount from going up into the stowed position. I contacted Reese (Horizon Global) and was told that they had to weld that block on to prevent going into the stow positions because of "PATENT ISSUES". I don't think I will get any help from them since I bought off of eBay from someone who probably was not an authorized dealer (although he did have 3 of them for sale). If not, a trip to a machine shop with a metal band saw will be in order.Reese_1.jpegReese_2.jpeg

So I mentioned before I have the Fastway 10" drop hitch and has zero issues from the back up alarm.
Borrowed a buddies dump trailer to make a couple of runs to the dump and had to raise the ball... at this height, it sure does set off the alarm!

Ha, do you find yourself pulling your hair out and yelling at no body?
I hate half of you and don't even know you...

LOL, Joking of course...or am I????

In all seriousness, I enjoy having the ability to work for my customers. I can't stress enough as a manger and warranty administrator, I get everything I can for my customers. I think some customers get that and there are some that think I'm only here to rob them. I know there are good and bad service managers (as with anything else) but I try my darndest to be one of the good ones!!

She loves highway cruising. I did a proper milleage test. Computer is 0.7L per 100km too generous. 21 MPG combined is still pretty damn good. And verified.20200712_133659.jpg

At 21k the engine light came on. P0299 for turbo low pressure? Dodge in Fairbanks is booked out 2 weeks and wouldn't even look at it. Spend over $70K and get this kind of service.

The ONLY problem I've had with mine was that the kayak and bike racks I had on my old 2017 Bighorn had to be adjusted to fit the new roof. Took me all of 10 minutes to get them mounted. racks.jpg

Then there was the coolant leak that the 'alterations' garage caused by not pushing the intercooler line in completely. But that was not a RAM issue!

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has had any issues yet with their new HDs? I'm close to ordering mine and I'm little hesitant being its the first year, even though I know it isn't completely all new.
I've got the 2019 3500 with the new 6.7, and 21,000 miles. Love the new engine with the extra power but I've noticed a slight surge under load ever since it was new. Then last week the engine light came on. Had a P0229 code (Under boost condition). Dodge tells me they are booked out 2 weeks so wouldn't even look at it (Wish they would boost their service department to meet their sells). Being in Fairbanks Alaska doesn't give many choices on where to get it looked at. Started watching the boost pressure which seems to be a bit inconsistent but not any lower than I noticed originally. I do see the surge in boost pressure corresponding with the surge I mentioned. Still under warrantee so it will be interesting to see what's up when it goes in for the appointment they gave me. Otherwise, awesome truck so far.

I’ve got the power steps and sometimes the drivers side does not come out, and it is not hitting anything. Is this happening to anyone else?

I have the opposite problem. My passenger side occasionally won't close when it's out and complains that it's obstructed even thought it's not. I haven't had a chance to get under and see if there's any grit or whatnot in the mechanism. if there's not i'll have them look at it at the dealership.
