New recall 11/10/2022 for the 68RFE ** UPDATED INFO IN 1ST POST **

Got the 68RFE dipstick recall done this week. Have the long, locking dipstick now.

Here are the parts listed on invoice:

CSSPZA31AB Indicator - transmission fluid level
CSSPZA32AA Tube-vent
CSSPZA33AA Grommet
I have the short locking stick, can I just buy a long locking stick?

Likely not as they change the tube and the stick together so it likely wont work with the OEM tube that you have

I wo

I would think the tube was changed. The short stick appears to have the same locking mechanism.
Could be the same lock system but different diameter or length of tube im not 100% sure but if you have the short stick you did not get the tube replaced

Does anyone have a picture of the new vent? I have the short stick and the original stick. Need to see if they changed the vent since they claim I have the recall done.

If the new vent has a 90° elbow on it then its new

I crawled under my truck and looked tod and it does have the “L” shaped vent but not zip tied to anything. Hate it when people half ass their work. That’s why I usually drive a new vehicle home and put it in my shop and check every fluid, battery connection, filter and torque the lugs on the vehicle. My grandson has my shop full of furniture right now and I can’t get in it. Il just run the short locker and keep the other one under the back seat.

Its short and does not need to be zip tied to anything its actually better to not be… the whole point of the new vent was to get the vent cap away from everything else

Does anyone have (ALL) The correct updated part numbers needed to do the transmission tube/vent recall. And the Grid heater relay if you are able could you post a list?
I called several dealers yesterday everyone told all parts on back order. Yet I read that dealers have parts in stock and available,.
Thank you

I think this is the correct number for the updated grid heater relay. 68606435 AB. Still have the short dipstick and original dipstick tube but do have the updated 90* vent.

CSSPZA31AB Indicator - transmission fluid level
CSSPZA32AA Tube-vent
CSSPZA33AA Grommet

These are the numbers for the trans recall parts that @DougB posted earlier.
