What did you do TO your RAM today?

I just spent the afternoon spraying woolwax on the entire undercarriage and bottom of the cab and bed. Did my F350 dump body as well. Not really worth a picture. But it had to be done, that time of year again. I was really happy with how the truck looked underneath since it's been a year since the last undercoating. Coming from a Ford, I do miss the aluminum body for corrosion resistance, but the Ram is holding up great, no spots on the sheet metal anywhere, and the frame looks almost new. Really enjoying this truck! Hope we see some aftermarket support for axle gears in the near future, but the truck is great the way it is.

Wondering how much wool wax it takes to do a truck? A gallon and a couple of touch-up cans maybe?

I actually used about 2.5 gallons total yesterday, but the majority, 1.5, was used on the dump truck. I welded a new bed floor into the dump box back in the spring, and I used alot of woolwax to protect all that. The ram took one gallon. I rinse everything off first, try to rinse out the frame as best as possible, then use wands on the spray gun to get all the cavities. Once that's done, I hammer the outside of the frame and underbody with a good thick coat.

Where are you getting the Rotella...cheapest I see it any where in Ontario is Amazon.ca for $49.97 for a 5 litre jug. Whats really strange is if you want the 3 pack its over $350 for only 3.78 litre jugs. Safe journey and enjoy your trip.
Keep eye on Amazon. Price fluctuates. Also got some at Walmart. Yeah, sometimes Amazon’s math is strange

Broke down and tried to buff out some of the swirl marks from the drive through car wash.

It needs some professional help. But for now, it'll work.

I don't really like to take too much off of my trucks since they get scratched up from branches and what not off the pavement and do get used as trucks. If you don't want to fully ceramic coat I really like the Essence Twins combo from carpro due to both the Essence Polish and the Essence Plus jeweling coat have a good amount of fillers. If you are gonna coat then I like to use Essence for my coat prep and plus when I'm "refreshing" the coating.

Use a short throw DA with a medium pad for the essence and a jeweling or wax pad for the Plus. When I'm in the zone, aka having done a test car like my wifes lol, I will use my long throw for the Essence with a Uro Fiber microfiber finishing pad and the Plus with a chemical guys black pad on the short throw. If I'm using the short throw for everything then I'll use a chemical guys medium cut pad or a Uro Fiber 50/50 microfiber with quicker passes for the Essence. With Essence you just need to get heat into it for the fillers to activate, but you really don't want to use much cut if you can avoid it.

Got tired of the lack of low end, even with the Pioneer swap in the stock Alpine box, so I installed some Infinity Ref 1200s in a Skar box over the weekend. Right now I'm running the stock alpine sub output through an LC2i Pro and using a Kicker Key 500.1 as the amp. I won't show y'all my amp board cause it's just a piece of scrap plywood wrapped in CCF wedged in-between the box and the back wall of the cab until I decide on a more permanent solution. I'm also going to add some 1" seat spacers that didn't arrive in time - not because they're needed, but to get the seats away from the subs as well as enable the seat to fold forward without cutting the seat retaining hooks.

Having played with a budget RTA I would not suggest using the Alpine sub output, but the Key algo does make it "serviceable" stacked on top of the LC2i Pro. I'm going to let these break in before I reserve judgement as well as see if I can clean up the signal anymore with what I have, but they are an improvement overall. I largely ended up with the Infinity's looking at the crossover between required air volume, price, SQL, and SPL. The Skar box is nice due to not requiring seat spacers as well as the price, however, you pay for it in lack of volume. I was torn between going 10" with Dayton Audio HO's or going 12" with something like the Inifity's. Ultimately price won out since I wasn't looking to spend the extra money on getting clean source signals nor a real DSP yet. In the future I might swap out the Infinity's for JL 12TW3's if I get the itch for more output and do some other major upgrades.

The LC2i pro is only there to provide the needed resistance to turn on the Alpine sub legs as well as give me a place to do minor tweaking while I use the stock sub outputs, eventually I'm likely going to get a PAC AP4 for clean line outs from the UC5. That said when I get the PAC AP4 I'm going to be tempted to pick up a DSP as well as amp the CDT Audios in my doors and replace the Skar Audio 3.5"s in the dash with CDT Unity 8 drivers.

Did you notice a big improvement with this? Been kicking it around for a couple weeks and tempted to pull the trigger.
The swaybar by-itself is a huge improvement. Before I had my mismatch of Thuren, Carli, and Metalcloak parts installed - I had installed the Synergy Steering Box Brace and the Thuren Swaybar myself with everything else stock. It takes out alot of the side-to-side rock from off angle entry into driveways, etc. It is a part of a bigger picture depending on how far you want to go, but IMO it should be the 1st step on any suspension upgrade/build assuming there's not high center of gravity situations.

Good to know, thank you! I already swapped in the thuren soft ride 1" coils and fox shocks which made a pretty noticeable difference. I feel like the sway bar will be the bow on top.
