What did you do TO your RAM today?

I used the same last year. It’s almost time for a reapplication.
I think I’ll do another coat tomorrow, just not a fan of trying to get it off my hands, definitely be using gloves next time. I ordered 2 cases planning on going over it twice to make sure I didn’t miss anywhere, used 8 cans on the first coat, CCLB.

How good is the adhesion?

Ceramic window tint. Had the front windows done to match the rear. I think it was 70 percent on the windshield, mostly just wanted to block some of the uv off of that leather dash. And the brow.
I have a few more things to do, but my list of add on stuff is getting short finally. I am not going to do anything with tires and suspension until the factory tires need to be replaced.
What did the front window % end up being to match the rears?

No idea. I asked them to match the back windows, but still say legal, and that my main concern was blocking as much UV as possible to help protect the leather interior. They said they would hold up a couple different ones to it to determine what would look best due to not all factory tint being the same.

For what it's worth, the place that did mine matched my rears as well with ceramic. I beilive the paperwork said 20%

Thanks, do y'all notice any haziness or lack of crystal clear when the sun hits it? I had my other car done and when direct sun hits it, there's just a hint of "grey" that I don't have on the back windows of the Ram. Been afraid to pull the trigger and have that same thing.

Edit: Googled it, apparently many ceramics have (low angle haze) when they have a very high IR block rating. Wish I would have know that before! I'll be going standard tint or at least low IR ceramic on the truck.

Today's projects.

Installed a single ARB compressor and Desert Does it under seat mount. Wiring harness was a nightmare to figure out because it comes with wires and connections for every possible use. I just want it for filling tires. But I figured it out. I am probably going to keep the factory trim piece over it most of the time or when around home. I also added a rare earth magnet I had laying around for whatever I might want to stick to it. A nice knife maybe. Wiring is to the auxiliary battery, so I did not use the ignition wire option and the truck will not have to be running to use it.

Also added a Streamlight flashlight and smart charger to be wired into my auxiliary battery. I had wired in flashlight chargers on all the fire engines I drove for several years and just used to always having a light charged and ready. Both the charger wiring and the 10GA wire for the ARB are run under the center console and dash to the clutch plate grommet through the firewall. In addition to the screws there is some double sided tape under the charger. It should be able to take some rough handling.

Last, not pictured or described I wired in a hidden anti theft kill switch. Not going to describe this one online other than I had the wiring harness made up for me to T into a connector and made to look like any other OEM wiring.

Those were the last of my items to install that run off the auxiliary battery, but everything I am running off that battery is still bundled up and loosely zip tied and directly attached to the battery. Now for the least fun part. Cleaning up all the wiring under the hood. Shortening, rerouting, removing inline fuses, adding some wire loom, and wiring into the blue sea fuse box.

The only thing I notice on mine, is a slight color shift. Such as driving home and my driver side rear view mirror showed Grey sky and looked like rain, but the passenger side was crystal blue sky. For reference, it was a nice clear day.

I'll deal with that as the UV blocking the heat from sun is totally worth it in my opinion.

I also added my smaller streamlight, 14 yrs so far of using them in the Coast Guard so I’m spoiled now and have to have one everywhere. But I just stuck mine in the armrest console and plugged into the usb outlet so it charges whenever the trucks on. Might screw it down so when I flip up the console it doesn’t move around. Though about trying to fit it in the door cubbie under the handle and tiene into power from the door.

Almost ashamed to admit this - I've been driving my CHO DRW for nearly a year now and the rearview mirror has never been digital until this last weekend (as far as I recall anyways). I don't know if I hit something accidently in the settings or if there was a recent update...but now my rearview mirror uses the cargo camera and is digital going down the road.

There's no way it's been operational until now, as I'm a chronic rearview mirror checker. Wild.

The lever on the bottom of the mirror (day/night) will turn the camera on/off.

The camera is in the CHMSL, but it's not the cargo camera. There is another lens just for the DRVM.

i guess I had that mofo turned off all of this time and hit the on button since I recently got a sunshade for the front windshield. LOL

AT first I was going to splice into the wire to the usb at the rear of the consol so it would only charge when the truck is on. It only required a 2 or 5 amp fuse I think. What I discovered by reading the instructions is the smart charger can damage the batteries if wired that way. My understanding is it causes the fast charge to cycle back on at a higher rate every time you turn the ignition on. Wired direct to an unswitched power source it allows once the battery is fully charged for the charger to drop down to a .1 pulsed charge to maintain the battery and stay there until used. So ran a wire from the aux battery dedicated to it since I was running wires on the same path for an ARB compressor anyway. But I don't know how much of that recommendation is really needed as it could just be for liability in case someone claimed a battery exploded or caused a fire.
