What did you do TO your RAM today?

Also today received a sunshade. It gets hot here. 105 degrees today. So I went with about the best I could find. Expensive, but at the time I ordered it, it was on discount for about the same as the others they sell. Much nicer than the cheap walmart ones. Fit is good, and it is thick and solid. My first impression is tt should last me a few years or more. Covercraft uvs100 premier series custom sunscreen.

I have a Weather Tech one I like it but its a pain in the ass to put in and to store when the truck is full of people.

My plan is to get the Weathertech full vehicle kit for when I am parked more extended or camping, but still will use the folding Covercraft one for the front. I seldom have more than two people riding in the truck so the rear bench stays folded down with a dog crate all the time. So it will just be chunked in the back with the dog most of the time. It should easily fit behind that rear bench later after I do the rear seat mod to get behind it, if I need to store it. First use today with the 105 temps made a noticeable difference, but still having the uv tint done soon.

Another accessory I added the other day was a Weigh Safe Drop Hitch. Nothing special about it other than it was a factory seconds one at 50% off. I think I had been on the waiting list for one going back to when I first ordered the truck and I finally got the email. I can't find anything wrong with it. Looks new to me.

Off topic, what size is your dog and what crate do you use? Looking for a better solution for my dog.

Just a Vizsla puppy. Sunday/Monday I drove the Power Wagon from Texas to Tennessee and back to pick her up. Picture was from a stop at Bass Pro in the Pyramid to get her some socialisation training right off. For the moment it is a cheap small petsmart crate she will soon grow out of and the Mud River seat cover over the decked floor. I figure later I will shop for the largest folding crate I can find that will still fit through the open door. That Mud River cover that I posted in this thread a few posts back is pretty much staying in full time. I can pull it out and hose it off as needed. An idea I have for when she is grown and I don't have the crate is to make a reinforced hole in the cover near the center at a seat belt buckle so I can clip in a short seat belt leash. I used to do that with my previous Vizsla in my suburban to keep him confined to the rear seat area.

I’ve got one of those “hammock” style covers that works with the seat folded up and the cargo floor unfolded. It works pretty well, but it overs the full width of the bench, and even seatbelted in my dog is tall enough to reach over and poke at things around the front seats, including us. I’ve been thinking that a crate may be a better way to go. He’s only 60#, but unusually tall.

Changed tranny fluid in my '19 3500 HO today. I swear it picked up a few HP with new oil. :D
Was a piece of cake, 35,000 miles on a truck. Took 6.8L of Mobil 3309 fluid. Would do it again myself at 60,000 miles but changing the filter as well.

Not sure what you are looking for in a crate but I have a Border Collie that is an escape artist and has destroyed several soft and hard plastic crates. I finally resorted to this one. Guaranteed escape proof. Can get a dog proof mattress to fit. Pricey but so is the back door panel he almost destroyed. This is the 34 inch (length) model and JUST fits in the back seat.

@Wheelz what did you wind up with for a aux fuel tank? I went with a 45 gallon RDS upright. Tank purchased as bright aluminum, but scuffed up and applied spray-on bedliner. Pump setup to refuel Kubota tractor and side by side. Planning to purchase a Weather Guard 684-5-01 toolbox to install aft of the fuel tank.

Thankfully mine isn’t destructive, just distracting while I’m trying to drive. I don’t need a crate nearly that heavy duty, but your post is perfect for showing what will fit, so thanks!

This isn’t my dog or my truck but I use the same style crate with my dogs. I spend a lot of time traveling and take my dogs everywhere I go.. I like this style because it still gives them lots of visibility and it allows the AC or heat to get to the dogs. Also, when I get to where I am going it folds up flat for storage.

Same style I use. I just need to find the largest one that will still fit through the doorway on the new truck. My old one was stolen out of the bed of my truck which I could have cared less about, but it had a nameplate for my dog with his titles on it that was obtained at one of his akc events and had sentimental value to me. That was one of the main reasons I got the retrax cover for this truck.

Today's project was ditch lights. I installed SDHQ mounts and Rough Country black series pods. Rather than worry about theft deterrence, I went with a cheaper light that should be fine for my needs. I outlined my hood brackets with a wet erase chalk marker before loosening them in case the hood moved during install. Which it did. Made it easy to bump it back into the right spot before tightening the bolts back up. I still need to wire them in, but going to wait on other lights and stuff, then wire everything at once.

I thought I was going to install a Lockerdown safe in my console today, but FedEx it appears has delivered it to someone else by mistake. Not even in the same city as me. Either that or I have the wrong tracking number.

And safe is in. Instructions called for cutting the section of matt that sits where the safe sits. I trimmed that piece and put it inside the safe so I have a floor in it I can pull out to clean if need be. I also added a piece of wire loom on the inside metal edge of the lock. Love the lock. Big numbers I can see with my bad eyes and access fairly fast. This is the one with the reinforced lid and it is heavy. The spring that opens it is very strong and has no problem springing it open. Expensive for what it is, but it was the one that best fit my needs. If someone gets my gun out of it, it means they have my truck anyway.

@ETX Ram I went with an ATTA tank. I had to get one custom made to go around my wheelchair lift as it takes up a little over 2 feet of bedspace. But its basically a reversed L-tank (66 gal) so I can store some stuff in that pocket. I'm also using the same pump as yours. But I screwed up on my design cause now I cant see my damn GN ball. hah! Guess i got to estimate where it is on the display screen and mark it.
I'm installing it this weekend. I'll snap some pictures when I finish..
