I searched and saw quite a few posts about WeBoosts, but nothing dedicated to them. I thought I would start this for people thinking of mounting an antenna, or to show how you mounted yours so others can get some ideas. I bought a WeBoost Drive Reach OTR for my PW with RamBoxes (mainly so when I head out to KOH this week, I can hopefully have SOME service). I bought a Ram Mount adapter, so I could mount the antenna on the accessory rail with a T-Bolt. The initial idea was to run the cable into and through the RamBox into the cab, so when I was parking somewhere overnight or out of town, I could disconnect the ram mount and put the antenna in the RamBox so it didn't get stolen. Well now, I was thinking of permanently mounting an adapter with a water resistant cap to cover when not in use to the front of the pickup bed underneath the lip, so I could unscrew the antenna mount and still store it in the RamBox, and the adapter would be protected from the elements a little better. The last pic is what I would mount at the head of the bed, then heatshrink the adapter between the bed and the cab. Thoughts?

OK so rumor has it, @NHOverland may be tinkering around on trying to come up with a mount for the Auxbeam AR-800 switch panel. So with that in mind, I went ahead and mounted mine on the rear ledge of the engine compartment. It will be easy to move, and I utilized one of the body panel retainers on one side, and machine screw on the other. The KC lights, I did the same thing, trimmed down two panel retainers, pushed that back through the hole to hold the light and the hood fiber panel. I have ran Switch Pro’s and LOVE them, in fact recently finished putting one in my Tacoma. But I figured for the price, might as well give the Auxbeam a try. So far I like it but it’s early. I figured I would go ahead and install this so when all my BD lights show up, it will be good to go. Plus I am waiting on a few parts for the WeBoost. I did dedicate one switch to the WeBoost (whip) so I don’t have to have it on all the time. Next up…..figuring how I want to run the antenna wiring for the WeBoost. May do a weather resistant SMA in the bed of the truck…..until then - here is the progress.46DBE6B9-1EDF-4A09-B6DB-99FA89B61EA8.jpegE6A3AB4E-D6DF-42C6-9AE6-3CA0B75D0696.jpeg23A86BEA-FBE7-4E64-86C5-B94261ED63C3.jpegDE2A9922-DAC5-458E-BE2A-9EB6AC7E4319.jpegF0CF1A49-049A-4219-85EA-328053BB1D7A.jpeg8A1AFCD6-7623-4CE6-8180-54D007E6C30B.jpeg21361B82-0395-4235-9FBF-1000D5C63C34.jpegA865B0C2-C9A1-4BAE-A6CB-D5DE21706FFE.jpeg4C7D44C7-7AEE-4BBD-8397-2E77BC17403F.jpeg24E370DB-9538-49E3-8EA4-001723B29D18.jpeg

I put my switch gage there as well. After about 6 months I don't like it there I am going to relocate it. I've hit it with my knee a few time Turing lights on lol and it's hard to read what switch your hitting.

Rumor is correct. I should have a design done by the start of next week and a working prototype the following week.

Also, for the WeBoost, what was the motivation behind the Ram Mounts swivel antenna mount vs. the new WeBoost swivel mount?

I had the Ram Mount swivel already, and I wasn’t able to find too much information on the new WeBoost swivel mount (ease to remove it). Also I used a t-bolt to mount it in the rail of the bed rails. Of course the antenna is 3/8” to tall to fit underneath my carport, so I will be modifying it a bit so I dont have to hear it hit every time I pull in and out. And yeah I saw you mention that on FB, so I figured I would mount it somewhere I can move it easily and not noticeable it was mounted somehwere. Let me know when you get your mount ready and I’ll gladly purchase one from you!

I will keep you updated.

Also, isn't that always the case? Just a whisker too big or too small for just about everything aftermarket.

Following for pics of exit strategies through rear of cab, I grabbed some grommets from McMaster in preparation for drilling through the back wall of the cab to run camera cable(s)

So a quick update. With all the adapters to make the anntenna removeable and to get the wiring into the cab, I had a significant amount of signal degradation. Huge shoutout to Rugged Radios here in Arroyo Grande, CA. I went into their shop to get some input from them, and they offered to install some SMA to BNC adapters for me for a better signal. This was awesome since Rugged typically only does installs on their own equipment. Needless to say, they were able to shorten my antenna cable for me, eliminate three adapters and man what a difference. Now I can disconnect the antenna when I need to, and have a much better signal with their modifications.36A78C58-D27F-48D6-810C-676753648E6A.jpeg33782B65-2794-42AD-9019-91C3C89E3E51.jpeg0C865F8D-8CDF-41F1-8525-E2F345EE262F.jpeg

Hey guys, can you show a better picture of the engine mount for the AR-800? is it available to order? Thank.
I will get some more photos tomorrow. Any specific angle or measurements you are looking for?

That looks sweet!!! Will that allow some wiggle room for the removal of the factory fuse box cover in case it would need to be accessed? Thanks for the pictures, that angle is much much better!
It cover is just enough to keep it from opening unfortunately, however the bolts holding the unit are long enough to be loosened the allow it you open. With all the testing and modifications done with my truck over the past almost 3 years I have never blow a fuse, the only times I have been in there were to tap for my Switch-Pros and take a couple photos.
