has anyone received a 23 with the new tow mirrors?

Looks like a major improvement to me.

I don't dislike my mirrors ... like how they function, like the electric adjust on both main and convex. I especially appreciate that the memory settings will save both horizontal and vertical settings, really good feature. It's just that for me, horizontal mirrors aren't as functional as vertical, might just be so many years of using vertical mirrors. I know I could run with them extended to vertical, but makes for a pretty wide ride when I don't need all that offset distance.

I kind of know what you mean. I do like the vertical element. It's just the inability to reduce their..."wingspan" that most gets me. The new mirror sliding in a few inches on either side will reduce the number of "replacements" needed. I worked on a two lane street and pickups...including mine...(without power folding mirrors) were pretty much guaranteed over a two or three year period to lose a mirror. My 2013 1500 lost one. My power folding 2015 went for five years without losing one. I have seen like four mutual mirror rip offs on the Going to the Sun road in Glacier... I fold my mirrors in even manual when I go up there. I live in MT so it was no big deal prior to the reservation system.

NOW, if you have the power folding mirrors like I was SUPPOSED to have on my Laramie except for the chip shortage and a temporary change to a temporary level in early 2022, I would be OK with power folding and so am considering the "old" ones from infotainment that also include blind spot monitoring at like 2800K... But, must admit I could like the new ones...

Some bonus hood bling:

I don't recall seeing the foam around the hood latch on mine, cant even recall if I saw it around the front as a "trim". I wonder if this will help with the wind causing the hood to shake?

Overall I don't hate the new mirror design, but they will take some time to grow on me. I think the current mirrors, while down, are better looking, but that may be familiarity bias talking. The new ones def look more usable. The hood I'm no fan of. I keep hoping that AEV comes out with a version of their heat reduction hood, but I somehow find that unlikely to happen.

My 2020 had the foam.

They need a 2023 memory seat module to function, which means conversion harnesses running from the driver seat to the doors, but the main thing is a 2023 BCM will need to be used. In order to attempt to get a 2023 BCM running, they would need the whole truck (to transfer secret key from rf hub), so it’s not something they can just bench flash and bundle in with the kit.
In speaking to someone else, he said basically the same thing... I'll go with the 2022 infotainment version...after I pay off the Fab Fours Matrix prerunner bumper...

I think for me it's just that everything I've driven over the years has regular mirror on top, convex on the bottom, including some commercial trucks I drive occasionally. I much prefer that to the convex outboard of the regular.

and with Ram pricing......Chevy is growing on me.....there may be a 2024 chevy 3500 in my future......had Rams all my life (and I am old) but Ram has priced themselves onto another planet.

I have Laramie mirrors on my 2019 2500. Power fold, blind spot, heated, memory, chrome. I'm debating getting the GM replacements from Boost Auto and would be looking to sell my originals. Interested?

So far in the 900 miles I've put on it, I really enjoy the new mirrors. They're definitely better than the originals I have on my 05. Can't compare to Chevys but I still think Ford has the edge on mirrors.

I drove a ‘22 ford f2fiddy yesterday, 6.2l gas with the 6sp auto. Mirrors were 10x better than my rams. Pass side somehow can almost see around the back of the truck. Rams do suck. All that aside now I keep getting ads for grinder app on my FB feed now, can’t imagine why...
