TPMS (TIS) sensors for trailer (SOLVED - see 1st post) aka TTPMS - Trailer TPMS

Glad to see and hear that this is working! Kudo to you guys who figured this out. Questions: When I update my Uconnect to a 2020 instead of it really being a 2019, what happens if my Uconnect does an automatic update? Or, the dealer does an update? Do I lose the trailer stuff in the menu? Thanks and can't wait to see the instructions on how to do this from start to finish.

As of now, all 10 are spoken for. If I get enough requests pretty quick, I’ll order parts for 10 more. That’s basically the minimum I have to order, and I don’t want to have money tied up in parts sitting around.
I'll take one if you decide to make some more

I finished the install and configuration today. It works exactly as it should. Sweet!

I took plenty of pictures and will be updating my install document and will post it shortly.

OUTSTANDING! Thanks for the update!

Here is the revised installation instructions for the installation of the TTPMS receiver and interface module. I received the factory cable the same day that I received the parts to make my own cable. I used the one I made instead of the factory cable to prove that the cable is correct. (It's called eating your own dog food in programming lingo). I am attaching a picture of the actual cable and the one I made. Not bad if I do say so.

Awesome! Did you disconnect the battery when hooking up the modules? Is that necessary? I noted the TA instructions said to do so but I assume that entire bus is not powered with the run switch off.

Nope don't do it. The truck gets Alzheimer's if you disconnect the battery. I did disconnect it when I originally ran the Trailer AUX camera cable per the instructions. It took forever to be able to see all my cameras on the Uconnect again. I was freaked out. I thought I broke the truck.

You mention that the 2019 HD trucks did not come with Trailer Interface Modules. Does that mean my 2020 has one?

Not unless you ordered it with the XG9 TTPMS.

That's part of what the thread is about, not only the 2019 guys that were told it was included, but the 2020 guys like me that couldn't order it until 2-5-20.

While I didn't pull the headliner to look, I plugged the bumper located TPMS receiver into my 2020 and enabled everything and it still didn't work - so no module assumed.

Phil since it's not in your signature, what are your truck specifics, year, 25 or 35 and the radio info would be good as well for everyone to compare ... phenomenal write up BTW, pro-manual!

Saw that. Tried to send payment through Zelle, did you get a text about it?

I read somewhere that somebody said they were getting off the shelf 433mhz tpms sensors from orielly auto parts to try out. Don't know if it worked out but I'll probably look to go that route to save some money vs the OEM set from Mopar.

If I ever get my parts, I'm hoping the 433Mhz sensors I use for Tireminder work, as does the repeater to get back to my boat trailer.

TIM and Jimmy07's cable are both due in by end of week.

Forgive me if someone else already posted this, but I noticed the Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System is now available in the 2020 configurator.
