Rich, Can you shoot me a link to the "Chrome tip exhaust" ? I've been looking for one as well and can't make my mind up. Thanks

Well I wrote the other day that I was buying a Lund tool box coated in rhino to match my bed, and i did , from jegs. Thought I had the best deal at 760 s&h&t. Then un be known to me, my wife found the same box at home depot for 574 + tax. Jing a ling. Call and cancel jeggs order and get my money back. Order from home depot today online and upon check out they gave me an extra 10% off with me even asking, wich was like 60 bucks. Final out the door price ( when it gets to hd) is 627. He'll to the yah. Some sites list that thing for 1150, that's crazy. Plus if I'm not happy it can get returned no questions asked. There's a reason we got 14k off our rig, were shoppers, find the deal

@Rich and @1FastHemi and everyone else with a 50 gallon tank.

I was wondering when the fuel low level tank illuminated. I hit 50 miles of range on the way home and it came on. Fuel level gauge looked REAL LOW, like one needle width off 'E'. Made it home with 47 miles left and parked it on my 4 degree driveway.

After dinner I hit the remote start to go out and filler up. I hooped in and the truck shut off, thought that was strange but fired it back up and that's when I noticed the check engine light. I filled it up with 47 gallons, Owners manual states light comes on with 3.2 gallons remaining. When i returned home, the light was still on so i pulled the code with my trusty harbor freight scanner, P0461. Couple screenshots, cleared the code and it didn't come back after a 30 mile loop.

Let me know if your truck throws a P0461/Fuel level Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance when your tank gets low. I don't think I'll be letting it get down below 100 miles till empty anymore.

Well that's interesting. Not that only the code wouldn't go off but more importantly that it shut down. Did it fire right back up or did you have to do the priming process. I don't normally get that low while traveling because you just never know, but I've been known to make a fuel run to see how far she'll go every now and again. How many miles on that tank btw

I'm just below 1/2 mark now, it may take me another week to get near empty. If I see/have any problems, I will let you know. Thanks for the heads up.

I keep mine pretty well topped off in the colder months to stave off condensation.

I try to never let my tanks run that low because the fuel helps cool the lift pump.

However, I have on a few rare occasions on a well known route pushed my 04.5 well past 0 miles remaining with a fuel stop in sight or nearby and pumped in 34+ gallons into a 35 gal tank.

Thanks y'all for looking out. The truck fired right back up. I'm thinking tripping a CEL may be a condition to terminate a remote start as self preservation. Reassuring in a sort of way.

The remote start will not work with less than a 1/4 tank. (Why the truck was shut off)

When you parked on the hill it allowed the fuel sensor to read bellow empty. (Why you got the CEL)

These RAM trucks are known for fuel level sensor fails. I have one right now.

I would highly suggest never consistently driving your truck dry.

It is a good idea to keep a bit of gas...especially in winter and on the hottest days.

As mentioned you dont want to let condensation and the fuel pump is also cooled by the gas.

I preach this to my wife all the time...she doesnt listen either lol

Well, I had my first issue today, not ready to call a five alarm fire yet but definitely taking a mental note. Left the house today to put some miles on her. As soon as we left home (odometer at 175 miles), drove about two miles to the red light, as soon as I slowed down for the light it changed to green an I went to pick up the throttle an nothing was there, it was like the transmition had spooled up. I let off the gas an she picked up and away we went. didn't like that at all, but it didn't clunk or slip an is just getting broke in, so I'm going to try to not get to worked up and see how it goes here in the near future. Any other similar situations happen to anybody when brand new and what was the outcome.

Sounds like the typical dead pedal issue when jumping from deceleration to acceleration.

I'm sure I'm really behind on this has k butt thought I'd share it anyway just in case. When I'm hauling my fiver I'm going to move the aux camera icon in apps to the main screen and swap one of the others so that way its easy breezy. Plus the icon move only takes like 3 seconds to do, easier than fumbling around looking for it than when your driving

I already have the surround cam on the bottom row for now because I use that one a lot and can hit any of the others pretty quickly from there, but will also put the aux cam there if/when I ever get that damn camera stuff sorted out, at leasts when we're "tripping."

I notice there's an empty spot on the control screen, it would be nice to be able to put something there too, but I guess Uconnect 5 will have to solve all that desire to customize.

I do wish you could move more icons than just that single row, kind of annoying. And to boot, you can't move the apps icon:mad:

Hey I've got one for everybody. I don't have one or I'd try it an if it works ill be getting one. Weve talked about the exhaust brake not staying on after shutting down and starting up as a memory unless your hooked to your trailer. Does anybody have a spare 7 pin round plug in that they can just stick in the plug in as a dummy to trick the system. Just a thought. Let us know
