2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I would argue that your average person probably shouldn't be buying a $70k plus truck (or car, etc) as it likely wouldn't fit responsibly in their budget regardless of interest rates. I waited many years before I could finally afford to buy a truck like this because I didn't want 45% of my monthly income going to a vehicle note.

Many years of driving around an old Mazda B3000 before I started moving into full size, then years of saving before I could go HD diesel. Maybe your definition of average person and mine are different based on location and avg. income, but where I'm from most can't afford a top of the line HD (but some but them anyway).
I agree with you. Unless I can get under a 1% interest rate, I pay cash. I not just talking about trucks but all cars. Im not sure there is a vehicle made that sales for under 26k now. Even that with no money down is a hard row to how. Also keep in mind there are trades that almost require the use of 3/4 to 1 ton truck. Heck 1/2 tons aren't really affordable either right now. Even the Ford ranger is up to 32k.

My 3500 started build 8/17 . Built 9/2. Original eta 10/23 bumped up to 10/16 two weeks ago. Tracker shows not shipped but was told by two customer service reps that it is on a rail car & en route to lordstown. & that the 10/16 date is good
I hope that's the case with mine. Mine shows not shipped but a delivery of 11/10.

From what I can tell, KZ has the same meaning of the two but LD = long delay. Or at least that’s what it means in my case. Ordered April. I’m now at six months. 3500 DRW

Has anyone received their 3500 DRW in the last three months? Just curious.
Received my 3500 DRW Bighorn in Sept.

Where are these codes available

Does it hav ethe 5th wheel prep in it. If so can i trouble you for a pic of the bed or possible measurement from the cab side of the bed to the first puck. Trying to find a fold up cover that i can put on there. I need it to fold up and not cover the hitch. Im assuming there is at least 2 ft there. I cant find one to measure.

The absolute only way prices arent going to continuously increase on these trucks is if we stop buying them. Look at 22 to 23s, very minor changes to the truck as far as iam concerned and i was given a quote on the exact laramie 5500 i ordered except a 23 and it was 8500$ more than my 22 and the only upgrades were the mirrors and guage cluster. And that was through a family friend who owns a dealership so we generally get great pricing. I feel the pricing on these trucks are outrageous, but for me and alot of others we need good reliable vehicles for towing heavy/work purposes. A good argument could have been made 8-10 years ago to drive a good used truck out of warranty and just pay for repairs as they come. However, weather by deisgn or not They've made these trucks so complicated now, and so costly to fix.... while extreme, sometimes one single repair to get you going can cost as much as an annual payment on a brand new truck with warranty. Ontop of that if you dont put that money into the truck for the repair its not an asset anymore just a paper weight. That was a big decision for us, i was being nickle and dimed by one of our trucks and finally decided enough is enough... spent 12,000$ in one year in repairs and i still only have a truck worth 30,000$ and nothing saying somthing even worse was going to go. So i vowed i wouldnt drive another truck again without warranty. Luckily we've set ourselves up over time to be paying less than 500$ a month on a brand new truck but that took time and effort as well. Next truck we should be able to pick up for nothing. But ill be as guilty as the next... the next big ram refresh on HD's ill be like a jack fish sneaking up on a brass spoon. In reality sooner than later.... most of us will be on here bragging about getting into a base tradesmen for 125,000$ and thinking we did well as we sign our 20yr variable mortgage to afford it.

Here's some pics.
Bakflip MX4 Cover for 8' bed.
Approximately 30" with one section closed (keeps my toolbox/tank combo hidden).
Measured from Front of bed to puck, approximately 36.5".
As you can tell the hitch itsdelf is about 42-46" back.
I can have the 1st section closed and attach my 5th wheel without ever coming close to the cover.

Hope this helps.

I work in the electric industry, design power distribution systems.
Since 01/2022 we have seen a 50% increase in electrical equipment. In the last 18 months it has been a 100% increase. It almost makes it impossible to put together budgets for our clients.
This inflation is the worst I have ever seen.... including the Carter years back during the oil embargo in 1974. (I guess I just showed my age...lol)

Great pics! Congrats!! Does the 5th wheel prep come with the electrical plug installed inside the bed?

that is exactly what i was looking for and the brand. have the F1 on my 2500 but thinking about going to the MX for the 3500. How do you like hte MX?

It is lighter and thus easier to open from beside the truck. I had the F1 on my last two trucks. I like this MX4 better.
Thnk you that is what i wanted. the F1 is just so heavy. Big thanks. I can now order it without hesitation.

As CTW said it does, on the left side (drivers' side) of the bed sidewall. So, if you are thing about installing the "Swingcase" toolbox on the left side, it will cover the plug.

Sounds crazy but the interest rate increase just priced my truck right out of my price range , does anyone know if deposit is refunded

Since interest rates and trade-in values are volatile I understood they were not valid reasons for a refund at the dealership I ordered my truck thru.

I would wait until its delivered to back out, that way any last minute rate promotions may still apply. I got 0% for 36 months and my dad got 1.9% for 48 months, both in August. 2.9% for 60 months was also an option.
