2020 ordering?

I saw that myself. They were talking about the collapse of the auto dealers, especially used car sales. My daughter works at a warehouse for honda . They have continued to work all along through the pandemic. Now today they said were furloughing for 8 wks because the warehouse is full an had no more room. They say they just can't open all the plants right back up because so many parts ( ie our retractable steps) come from other country's who's open up time frame will be different than ours.
Doesn’t look good for trades going forward.

I still Want to know. Hoff : what in the heck were you thinking putting your baby through the car wersh. Those things are scratch magnets, touchles or not.

dealer just called an said my chrome cab length steps came in for my truck when it arrives

Window sticker just showed for me today. For reference, my order was accepted 2/14. Some noted changes:
  • MSRP increased $100
  • Bed Utility Group renamed to Bed Convenience Group (no longer includes bed step) and price dropped $360
  • Level 2 Equipment group increased $100

Everything else remained the same.

Quoting myself for the timeline. Just got a call from the dealer today that my truck will be arriving to their dealership tonight and should be PDI'd by tomorrow AM. I won't be driving over there (dealer is just 3 hours away) until next Saturday as it will give me time to finalize backup financing with my credit union in town. After reading a few other posts, I'm feeling like @Rich since I'm pretty anxious as to what they're going to tell me on my trade. I have a deal written via e-mail & text but we all know how that goes.

For the record:
Order was accepted 2/14
Build sheet in early March
Rolled off the line 3/24 (per window sticker)
Arriving to dealer lets say 4/18

That deal written via email and text IS binding.

Food for thought.....I was looking at getting a 2020 Laramie Night Edition. Three weeks ago they offered me 63k for my 2019 Limited, now its 55k on trade.

Thats exactly part of the reason why I'm not backing out of this deal. I told my wife there's no way they would give us the same amount if we started now with it being a pandemic an 6 months later with 5k more miles

A Ford dealer offered me 5k more. Sad.

Wow that goes to show yah that you can't predict it. I do have to say being a ram Cummins guy, it doesnt surprise me that a ferd dealership would pay more to have a ram sitting out front, ram dealership has all kind ouf eye candy sitting out front, ford dealership got a bunch of squaty pottys sitting out front. They got to get buisness some how to pull through the gate

There is one dealer about an hour from me that sells Ram and Ford on the same lot. They've consistently told me that they sell more Ford trucks than Ram trucks even though the Fords are more expensive and more dated looking.

I have driven a few of the 2020 SD's and I was quite impressed with the 10 speed and the power of the power stroke. Do I think the Ram is better looking truck inside and out, yes, but to me it stops there. I like that the Ford has a larger bed, more power, smoother both shifting and ride quality, seats are more comfortable, I like the heated wiper blades, the trailer light monitoring system, adaptive steering, etc. The longer I've owned this Ram, it feels too much like my 2018 with the exception of the interior. Just haven't been all that impressed for a truck with an 81k MSRP.

I'll probably get allot of flack for this but if I we're to own a ferd, it would be the 450 PS. That's the only one that I would feel close to equality in.

I-6 Cummins>Any Brand Puzzy V-8 Diesel. They can have 21 speeds and 600 HP and an automatic butt wiper, no thanks.

Only 3 things disappoint me with the Ram HD, lack of a telescoping steering wheel, no panoramic sunroof and the 3" shorter box (I could fit my ATV in without tailgate bars). But everything else is hands down better. I looked at the Tremor but that 80's interior and deal breaker of a ridiculous mirror notch in the 2 front door's window lines (among the many other ugly external design details) makes it a non-starter.

question on that panoramic sun roof, wich I love btw. Isnt the reason why we can't get on the HD is because it compromises body strength wich equates to lbs hauling. Really an truly the only thing I would change about my ram coming besides being able to get panoramic sunroof would be for that dang aux camera to stay on. I've drove commercial for decades an unfortunately I've become reliant on that camera in my old age. Makes me wonder how I ever drive with out it

It is a less attractive truck both inside and out.

Your post in another thread is what concerned me. I don't need to buy and if they pull this card I won't be. Let em sit a 60k+ truck on the lot.
