Let us knows how it went down, I'm downloading the app now myself.
 
I called and gave the information and accepted the terms. The app on my cell and site on my desktop both say the install is in progress on my truck and check back later. Is that normal?
 
Done. Got the garage updated and I can see recalls and mileage on my truck. But trucks location is saying unable to update. Does it need to be started or outside of a metal box car to see the location?

I don’t want to start it or honk the horn and flash lights while it is in transport. The train yard guys might think it’s possessed and push it off the train. Lol

Mine shows it still in Mexico hope that's not true

Typically the trucks are in "Ship Mode" and all non essential electronics are turned off to save battery power. This includes the radio which is part of the uconnect/Ram connect.

Some have luck tracking the truck. Some, including me, do not.

I would like to find out what radio the people have that can track the truck and which radio people have that can not track the truck.


I can't and I have the 8.4 touchscreen.

The only time it is going to update the location is when the ignition is on. If it continually updated, the batteries would trickle down to dead in no time. @Merd 3500 , the last time your ignition was on was when they started it and loaded it on the train. The vehicles are also all “ship mode” which puts the truck in the most minimal mode needed to move it, with the least amount of electronics and draw on the batteries…for what it’s worth
 
So about the ram app again, understood my truck is still in ship mode and wo t show location. That’s fine, thanks for clarifying @pacnw1963 .

But I dove off into the standard and additional equipment lists. Not seeing my cargo view camera or ventilated front seats. They are of course on my equipment list and MONRONEY, so not too worried about it .
