Please Post Payload Sticker from Driver's Door Jamb.

Dogeram: yours seems to be significantly optioned up compared to mine. Vinyl seats and floors. Fixed rear window. No rear park assist. No protection group. No floor mats. I don’t think i saw the wheel liners on my sticker.

Maybe the vinyl seats/floors are heavy? I do have door to door running boards.

Cool that being so different it only amounts to 5 pounds

Your truck was what I was looking for, minimal to zero options. I'd rather have 6900 pounds of payload, 18k towing than craptastic wheel skins, chrome bumpers and a power rear window. Can't wait to see what the carpet looks like after a 12k mile road trip across the backcountry of canada, alaska .

Agree. There are some options I would have liked, but I got what I wanted at a minimum. Remote start, heated seats, 110v outlet, and the rear floor/cubby lid that folds over to make a flat floor all would have been nice to add a la cart. But since you need so many other packages it just wasn't possible.

I don't think I will notice 17,210 vs. 18,000 towing difference haha. Heaviest thing I should be towing is a 16k dump trailer. I would have rather had the un painted bumpers, just not a chrome guy.

That road trip sounds like an awesome experience!

Options & mega cab are heavy

Fortunately, that's enough for my needs.

2 1/2 years ago I was told by a Texas DPS trooper that they have the authority to stop and weigh any vehicle they believe may be overloaded. They can have scales delivered to their location to weight the vehicle in question and if found over any of the ratings the truck can be impounded until the load is corrected. I asked him if anyone was ever caught and impounded and he said one time but it was a 1/2 ton pickup with the rear bumper nearly on the ground.

He also told me when he stops a pickup pulling a camper he checks the GVW tags on the truck and trailer and if they are over 26k pounds and the driver doesn’t have a Class A license the vehicle gets parked or towed and the driver gets ticketed for improper license. He said he has done that many times as he is the resident officer in Livingston Tx which is a big RV town as Escapees is there.
this type of thing in Texas is nuts! there isnt a "con-cdl" class A drivers license in Ohio, So an Ohioan can typically be screwed in Texas or even Pa?

I'm surprised there are not more ppl like me complaining that this post delivery door sticker reality check is not even remotely warned about when ordering. I moved up to a 3500 at the last minute because I realized the payload on a 2500 would not meet the requirements of a Grand Design Solitude. Now after ordering a 3500 LTD SRW with every option I'm again likely below legal limits. (lower than any 3500 sticker shown here ). It may be clear to ppl buying trucks for years, but to me after studying the payload chart I thought I was good to go. Instead I got screwed in the end because I didn't understand that adding accessories reduces the payload capacity. Where does it say that when building online? And not an estimate.... an actual duplicate sticker of what your getting since nothing changing after you order it.

No, they can not cite you if you are in compliance with your state drivers license and towing laws as long as you are not doing commercial stuff. Also understand, that the police any any state can pull over anyone if they believe the vehicle is unsafe or overweight. They don't do it except in extreme situations because the truckers keep them busy enough. Probably the best example of weight enforcement is on the holidays around Pismo Beach in California. The CHP has a field day with citing the in-state drivers with heavy trailers and not having the proper license.

Your PW is completely different animal since it has electric lockers at both ends and more articulation in the axle connections, hence the lower ratings. Since I am a tech retard, I will just list my specs, 2019 3500 SRW CCLB HO Laramie level 2, 5th wheel prep, towing tech group, safety group, power running boards 12 in uconnect. Payload is 4080# GVWR 12300#. Max 5th wheel 24800# Already got over 500# added on just in bed-box for stuff you gotta have with you! Weighing 8700# as it sits. Not too many 5'ers you can tow with 2500, sorry!

Very close to the lowest possible as the only option missing is the dual alternators...

FYI, unless you found a way to get the 5'7" bed in a 2500 the 6'4" is a standard bed, the 8' is a long bed...

just funnin! Or am I??

In the world of HeavyDutys the 8 foot bed is the standard bed. The 6'4 is the optional bed. Lol. No shortbed on a regular cab...so 8 foot is the standard.

Just funnin.

2020 3500 HO Limited CC LWB SRW.

Option loaded except sunroof and VSIM. Door sticker is a stone cold match to the build page before delivery. Scaled empty with full 50 gal tank and me + heavy bumper hitch (no 5th hitch) right at 8900. Steer 5380, drive 3520.

Truck is rated GCWR 33,610, tow rating 25,150. With my rig setup (gear+pin+hitch+genset+wife) I should have around 600lb available payload, ~8-9K below GCWR and Tow rating. :-)

Why, what's your payload sticker say? Or you still waiting for your truck? As with you, I was looking at 2500s as well and realized it isn't going to tow what I want and upgraded to a 3500. I haven't received my truck yet but when I plug my VIN into the "look up your vehicle" option on the RAM site, I have well over 4,000 lbs of payload which is a lot. My truck has quite a few options too and it's an SRW.

Now what I don't know is how accurate that "look up my vehicle" option is versus what will actually be on the payload sticker when I get the truck. They better be damn close.

Yeh yeh yeh........I'm 70 years old. To me there are only 2 kinds of trucks. Long bed and short bed :-) Okay...you got me.....I have a Standard bed.
