2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

The more options you add the longer you wait. My big horn order only had a the HO motor, 50 gallon tank, block heater, equipment package C, the alpine speakers, and aluminum wheels.
I ordered from Mark Dodge and saved $12,000.00

That is true. I ordered a 3500 limited on Dec 23rd and just now is on the built stage. I did not order from Mark Dodge as I wish I have ordered from them.

I am about to pull the trigger on ordering a new ram 3500 big horn diesel drw. I was wondering what are some of the options you guys consider "MUST HAVES"?
Steps if you got people under 5'7" in the house, 4x4 if you need low range to back trailers slow, front and rear parking sensors just make life nice but rear only works if thats what you end up with, anti-spin rear differential because it works incredibly, led bed lights again make life easy, and finally a vote for bed liner just to get it out of the way. I also purchased mine with the 12" screen in case I keep this truck a little while - figured it would keep the interior a little more up-to-date but who cares.

Yeah I definitely get that. Been to several dealers to discuss build times plus I've been following the threads here for about 6 months. I don't mind waiting since I'll get exactly what I want and I don't need to get into a vehicle right away.

Thanks for the suggestions! I don't understand why anyone buys a truck that's not 4x4 but that's just my opinion. Step rails for sure. I could go without the backup alarms, my girls 2020 ram 1500 has them and I hate them so much.

If I could have bought mine in 2WD and saved a good chunk of money I would have. My truck is a long-haul highway queen towing my trailer, and this thing will likely never see any real off-road. That's what the Jeep is for me (hence the user name).

I wouldn't own a tow rig without 4x4. There are several times I've needed 4x4 while towing my camper. It's not often but I would have been hosed without it.

I've never needed it, and would make the gamble again. Regardless, I'm getting 4x4 so it's not relevant, but just saying I would have opted for 4x2 if I could have.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone!

Got a quick update on Whitey, especially for those who are relatively new here. Many others have heard this before as I ordered the truck October 29. It bounced between D and D1 until finally landing D1 December 9. Stellantis thought it would be a good idea to quit robbing from my pile of parts and build it March 19. Sandi sent me an email May 25 and wrote that her supply chain manager said it was still in storage with no ETA in sight. She called about an hour later and said that it had gotten a train ticket the day before and had no idea why the mix up. She sent an email May 27 stating Whitey was in Port Allen. (It must have been on one of those really fast trains.) She mentioned that it may take somewhere around 2 weeks to delivery to MD.

Thanks to the little bird here who gave me an update earlier last week and mentioned that it was on a train and gave me the car number. When I called for location info, the automated RR service told me that the rail car was unloaded and had been released by the customer and it was located in Kalifornia. That left me shaking my head but certainly not surprised. Nothing else on this build has gone normally, why start now.

My applause to Sandi for both being so vigilant in her updates and dealing with the incompetencies found within Stellantis. And thanks to Aaron at MD as he's also been spectacular.

Seven months and counting. It's a good thing that I'm not in a huge hurry. And....Congrats to all who've received their trucks! I'll be sure to post pics when I finally get Whitey.

I can understand that. Money savings and a little bit more towing capacity. Personally I use my 4x4 more than I thought I would (not necessarily to off-road since I have a dedicated off-road truck)
I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Personal preferences though. What kind of jeep do you have?

A 08 Wrangler, I'm the original owner so we've had many good years together and many to come.

I sure have grown to like the power folding mirrors. So has my bride thus the reason she said to order a Longhorn. Also, a large fuel tank has been a great thing. The current Whitey holds 75 gallons and the new Whitey has the 50 gallon tank. That way I can fuel where it's more cost effective. And led lights....gotta have leds.

Should the tracker show more status codes than just C if its showing it has been built for 12 weeks?

50 gallon fuel tank was one of the first options I wanted. I've got a 38 on my tundra and even though it's a gas hog I fill up twice a month maybe. So having that extra fuel is dope. I didn't think about the mirrors. I'll have to see if that's an option for me with the bighorn trim

I have china bombs on my fifth wheel, I was looking into the vantra th31. Any advice?
So I know there are other threads out there…I’m still scanning for the answer. Figured I’d throw it out there for the masses.

Has anyone figured out what is needed to get these TTPMS sensors on RV tires? I’m reading the tread isn’t long enough for the sensor to make it through some of these thicker rims. The rep I spoke with at Discount Tire said they could be swapped for longer stems, he just had none on hand.

If you are built, it's KZ. You can click the little arrow at the left of that line to expand. Should be 6 lines.

They are valve steams for sensors. The sensor slides on and a screw holds it in place just like the oem does. I have rubber pull throughs and metal high pressure bolt ins

Do you know the thickness of the rim you put these on?

What’s the part number?
