RamCares Cp4 service solution updates - (Y78) CP4 recall issued by FCA - 2020 Parts Available May 10

Whatever the internals of the CP-ISB21-S3 (21+) pump are, I fully expect it will be the same. The external fuel connections appear different than the 21+ trucks, more like a standard CP3 of old and I expect that was done for fitment reasons. The 19-20 trucks will now have a different set of PN for the pump and fuel feed line and tune software but there were many mid-year changes that created similar situations in the past so it's no big deal. Sometimes getting parts for my 04.5 was a pain due to the change.
Yes thats my thoughts aswell, and yes 04.5 was a nightmare at times!

I received my replacement CP4 fix kit. I'll take a picture very soon.

I am really excited to learn more about the CP3.3 when the info becomes available.

In other news, I just got off the phone with FCA Recall Assistance. They told me the new date for parts availability is May 10th.

Called my dealer service dept about another issue today. FCA has told them May 10th for parts so same date as you heard. Side note, service manager asked me if I was having any problems. I said no. He said I was lucky. Now I'm hoping we can get it done before we pull 4500 miles starting a week later.

As of today, my RAM dealers service dept., and the next nearest one, 50 miles away are still saying they have no dates from FCA on parts for the recall.

GASP! FCA has continued delays on the CP4 recall! Say it ain't so! ;)

Just saw a post in the RAM 5th Gen 2500/3500 HD Discussion group on Facebook from a guy in Miami, FL, saying he just dropped his truck off yesterday for the 4.2 fuel pump replacement recall (dealer had parts) and was told he'd have it back in 24-48hrs. Was given a loaner while truck in shop. Maybe parts are starting to flow out to dealers!!

Hi all,
Thank you for your patience. A solution will be available by the end of third quarter. We will keep you updated as new information becomes available.

I did pump update at my expense. Waiting to see if they will reimburse?
I agree. It’s getting pretty late in the day here In the eastern time zone to not have had a response from @RamCares idk what time zone there working out of but it’s not looking good. It’s frustrating cause they have let us waiting for so long now delay after delay, this time they set a deadline and we’re at its end. If it goes past today it’s becoming lied to or betrayed
The problem is too many trucks and not enough fuel pumps available! I already updated mine and was put on a waiting list with S&S.

So now we're out to the end of the third quarter? So we busted the second quarter deadline and it's been moved again, willing to bet we bust this one too. So @RamCares how are some getting the recall done (posted in this thread) yet the rest of us can't get this recall done?
Where did you get this info? Last i have seen said today (may 10th) parts should start shipping

And as to the May 10th date my SM whom i have a great relationship with and a no BS guy told me he has not received any firm date on this at all.

So I stand corrected. Just talked with the SM at the dealership and the parts have now been marked for release. He ordered the kit and stated it should be done within the next couple weeks based on how soon it gets here. Of note he did state there's two different kits based on whether it's running or not.

That and ordered by VIN so you get the correct reflash.
