We ordered our 3500 big horn diesel Mega Cab Sept 13. No idea if or when built. So frustrating

A claim was opened on my build after 7 weeks of "gathering parts". I did not hear from them again until my truck was built and it just gave me an estimated delivery window. I continued to receive them every few weeks pushing the delivery window out another 2 weeks. The last email from customer care was on 3/11 giving me a new delivery window of 3/15-3/28. An hour later I got a call from my dealer telling me my truck was delivered the night before. Great internal communication!

I hope my experience is positive, I'd love to actually receive legitimate updates like this. I'm two months post build with no railcar, it can't be this hard to load a truck on a train...

Once mine is built I’d be willing to pick it up at the plant and avoid another 2+ month wait.

Just got my answer from a Chat with Amanda. Order has passed edit, but not currently scheduled to be build. Potentially due to constraint or production capacity. Please contact your Dealer for additional information. So what ever that means..will see if the Dealer can answer our questions. Thank you again for the link to the site, really appreciate. At least now we know we will not be getting a call anytime soon to pick up our truck.

Yes, wonder why. We have seen so many trucks like the one we ordered be ordered after ours and delivered to the customer. Not sure what happens next or how long it stays in BG status. We have lots of
camping reservations this summer, as we were originally told by Dealer we would have truck at the latest January 2022. Thanks again for your help.

Did you have a custom order? I went thru many build variations, between Feb and last week, factory kicked back orders and options being available or not available. The single option in my build that I wanted and was not able to get was the BSM (Blind Spot Monitorng), will need to evaluate everything needed to make that work. I have found a thread that documents the process. Hope you are able to get it soon. September is a long time.

Are you a Canadian order? There are many here that stay in B* for quite a while. Sorry if that's been asked. Not sure what's holding you up. Good luck.

No not really, extras order are tonneau cover, spray in bed liner, running boards, navigation. Other than that it is Mega Cab Big Horn Diesel Bright White.

I don't remember setting up an account with UConnect5..... I didn't signup for SeriousRadioCrap! or any of RAM Accounts or WIFI or any of the free for 6 months accounts because you have to provide a credit card or debit card so they can use your card at their convenience. Yes! I know these services are free for 6 months, but I don't need these services as I already know the recommended service schedules required to maintain a vehicle in good working order.

yes doesnt sound crazy. at least compared to mine. Unless its the navigation head-unit due to the chip shortage.

i know someone earlier said they factory is not allowing for adaptive cruise control option. not sure if shortage or prep for 2023 MY.

Yes it is built. I'm happy and feel very fortunate for that. It took 11 weeks from order for the build to happen. I forget how many of those weeks were in "gathering parts" mode. It was several as I recall.

But now here I sit with a built truck, it is in shipping mode, been so for about 10 weeks now and no one knows why it has been in this state of stuck for so long. It's been so long that most Ram and Stallantis reps are skeptical that it is even in the yard anymore. Probably more of a situation where it left on a private mode of transport or is literally LOST as they admit they cannot find it at the moment.

So where is my truck? What has happened to it? Is it damaged, stolen, lost keys, sold to someone else by accident? Don't think for a second that any of THAT couldn't happen.

Next question is; how long until the truth comes out? And, am I even going to get that answer?

Really hoping it just shows up at MD and everyone is happily surprised. Yes, it's rare, but that happens too sometimes.

I guess you could say my hard part of "the wait" is over. But now, unlike other orders, I have a grueling and confusing investigation to conduct.

Oh man.... Would the Dealer let you put in another order? If the original shows up before the new one you get it, and if it shows up after it becomes dealer stock? If it doesnt show up at all i'm sure the dealer/factory/manufacturer would sort something out.

Could be, if it is I would take Truck without the navigation and just use the portable GPS.... will get in touch with our dealer tomorrow to see what is happening and why.

Just got word from the dealer that my truck is estimated to arrive in Rhode Island on May 21st. Then will hop a transport to the dealership for its final leg. If it comes in at the dealer by the 1st of June it will be about 19 weeks (133 days) from the day I ordered. To me this seems a little excessive being it was released for shipping on 3/30.

I ordered mine at the end of October and had a shipping date of 4/23. Salesman just notified me this morning that it should be there between June 3-13. I order the truck from a dealership in Ramsey NJ.
