New RAM Owner PDI Checklist and FAQ

Iarx237 I’d love to send you photos of all these goodies, but Tapatalk is saying I reached the limit for the month.

I’ll have to transfer to the computer and then upload, so it’ll take a little longer than I thought.

Trailer 360 Surround Camera Box... There are 2 large bags with the wiring, one smaller video, another for the hook-up to truck. I owe you a pic of the bag with zip ties and some other stuff, but the parts list is pretty spot on for what to look for. The box comes in a bubble-wrap bag.IMG_7021.jpegIMG_7023.jpegIMG_6989.jpegIMG_6990.jpegIMG_6988.jpegIMG_6987.jpeg

Awesome thank you. Is the cold weather cover a diesel only thing?

The DOT kit is pretty self-explanatory, but for visuals... check that it is zip tied...check your parts verify the extinguisher's expiration date and fill level.

Thanks

Reading through this Forum looks like I created a product useful to only those who find a need to be prepared when finally taking delivery of their much anticipated new RAM!

Excitement of finally getting that phone call from the dealer and arriving to pick this baby up can sometimes make ones mind go delusional... LOL

Lots of individuals purchasing their truck from Mark Dodge in LA and driving their new truck across country. I for one wouldn't want to begin this journey not knowing if my fluid levels were topped off, or happen to be involved in an accident while trying to program the UConnect5 System while driving down the road and remembered I forgot to add this vehicle to my insurance policy.

The list I originally created did included an operational check; lights, fluids, tire pressure, etc. It also included looking for transport damage, but just as important were things we need to do to ensure we were ready to hit the road prior to leaving the dealership. IE, UConnect5 Updates, Extended Warranties, Operation of the UConnect5 System, Obtaining Insurance, setting up APPS and writing down Passwords.

Some people don't require a Checklist for Life and it shows and some people can't live life without Checklists.

If it works for you Use It! If it doesn't don't bother! Why make others feel like their efforts are useless?

I do remember PM'ing you about yours, I would still be interested in getting that if you don't mind too much and maybe adding whatever I missed on the one I created here.
