If he says gathering parts you are likely D.

pretty sure you need to post the vin for any useful help.

All, first post here, came across this thread when I was researching what “In transit” means on the truck I just put a despot on about a week ago. Dealer says logistics issues are everywhere and dealer tracking is down.

I’m sweating bullets hoping it shows up before Memorial Day weekend when I have a trip planned. I was able to find out it’s shipping status is KZM. Can anyone on here give me anything more useful than that? Should I add a row to that spreadsheet? Many thanks in advance for any help, very glad I ran across this thread.

DELIVERED today!! After sitting at the truck yard for about 3 weeks, my truck was delivered to Granger today. 3500 NE SRW Mega SO Cummins

Order schedule was as follows:
Ordered 1/24
D1 2/1
Built 3/23
Delivered to Granger 4/28

I’d post the pictures I was provided, but they look like they were taken on an iPotato so I’ll wait until I get there in person to post pics. Likely picking it up early next week.

Wow! Ordered 1/24 and already delivered? Are other people who ordered in mid January to mid February seeing similar time frames? I ordered from MD on 1/24, for my VIN 1/25, and so far no more movement beyond there. Renae at MD has been very willing to help, but I don’t even have a build date yet. Anybody got any ideas why some trucks are so delayed compared to others? I know it probably has to do with options I ordered. I ordered a very basic(basically stripped down) tradesman 3500 HO Cummins. I’m sure a lot do the questions I’m asking are answered in this thread, but it’s growing so fast it’s hard to keep up with all the info. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

KZ-M would indicate that the truck is already on a train and moving toward the dealership. KZ-M is “first rail departure”. Depending on where you are in the country, that trip from Mexico could take a few weeks. Mine took 19 days from Mexico to Lordstown OH.

Probably wouldn’t hurt to add your vin to the tracking sheet for information purposes.

hopefully it's not like mine and damaged. I found out mine has bumper damage and wires hanging from it waiting for pics Monday hopefully from rail yard manager aka the shipping company poc

Not many wires right there at the front end. There is the block heater and maybe the sensor harness back there. I’m not sure which heat exchanger is mounted bumper level, but I would have my concerns about that and ask for it to be replaced if you go that route.

Well picked up my 2022 Ram 2500 Bighorn and im telling you soooooo worth the wait guys. Stay the course i figured guys were just sayin that to appease the unfortunate but i got to drive mine home 5 hrs or so and it wasnt enough i wanna go back and do it again. Made driving fun again and just an FYI here in flat Texas i averaged 20.8 MPG woth 289 miles driven on the lieometer. So knock off maybe 1-1.5 still pretty good for what a 7-8k truck. Keep strong guys hoping all lf yall fet your trucks soon nobody should be deprived of the same experience i had with mine.

Same about the “worth the wait” comments, felt a little cheesy saying it, but it’s the only way I could describe it.

I wish a DRW could get mileage like that. I’m not displeased with my selection, I needed something reliable to tow 20k consistently. My buddy and his 10-spd Denali DRW is rubbing his 20 MPGs in my face. Cummins and I just have a history, and I’m not going to walk away from that for 4 more MPG.

Yes, this has just happened to me. I ordered from Mark Dodge on 1/28 and it was delivered to them on 4/27.

I’m picking it up on 5/14. Work and family commitments created the delay at this final stage, but also gives me a timeframe for sending the old girl down the road (2014 EcoDiesel).

How long did it take to arrive at Mark Dodge after your build date? Just curious. I ordered my truck 1/24 and don’t even have a build date yet. Thanks for any info and congratulations on your new truck.

Does anyone know it trucks with the Max towing package get different rear springs than trucks without the package?
Also, how can I find out my towing capacity? I tried putting my VIN into the Ram towing website but it says no VIN found.

Any other Canadian orders look similar to this build? If so what is your ETA? Been in BG status since Feb. 4 - 2022. I see quite a few trucks getting built quicker with similar options, or at least have some movement on the status.

We ordered a Big Horn 3500 diesel Mega Cab on September 13 2021. No word on when or if it is built. Dealer has no clue or any answers for us. We are in Ontario Canada.

Lowbagg - thanks for sending me that shipping information. I spoke to Aaron yesterday and got final details hammered out. I found a killer deal on AA.com. I’m flying from St Louis to Lake Charles via DFW for $127.20. It will be a long day. Flight departs at 05:48 and lands in Lake Charles at 10:28. Then it’s a 700 mile drive home.
I figured overall cost will be $300-350 (airfare, gas, Red Bull )
I’ll have my handy inspection list with me and use it to run through the basics. Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to this, as well as the OP who put it together.
I’ll post pics when I take delivery.

Mine took over 7 months, the US orders are much quicker
When and where did you order? We ordered from dealer in Fergus Ontario September 13 2022. We are given no answers from dealer when or if built let alone when we will receive Truck. We ordered a Big Horn 3500 Diesel Mega Cab, Bright White.

No difference in a 3500 DRW with or without the max tow package. All the max tow package does is group together various options that are independently available under one banner.

Max Tow Package includes:

- High Output Cummins w/ Aisin Transmission
- Fifth Wheel / Goosneck towing prep package
- 12” DRW axle with 4.10 Ratio
- Mopar 30k Direct Mount 5th wheel hitch
- Air Suspension
- CHMSL with LED lighting and cargo view camera
- DOT roadside safety kit

Those can be ordered independently as well.

As far as towing capacity is concerned, is your truck built and delivered yet? If it is, the VIN search should find it on their towing capacity website.
