2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

well talked to my dealer today with no luck. said he can't get ahold of anyone as far as brand mentors today about how damaged truck is. told him I will not pay full price for a damaged truck that lost its value before ever getting to the dealer. he stated that it will show up on the car fax as damages. how's that fair to a customer? I told him that ram.would have to eat a lot of money for the depreciation if I was to buy the truck and he said that wouldn't happen. where is the part of business that it doesn't take over a week to find out the damage extent and why am i still.wondering whats wrong with it. I've been calling ram every day emailed them as well and no updates they want 84k to over 100k check for our trucks only to piss off there customers starting to rethink this whole ram.experience sold my previous ram in 2012 for a 7.3 powerstroke and sold that to get into a 22 but ram has not convinced me they take care of there customers. which is sad I was a heavy line mechanic for Chrysler dodge jeep ram dealers before I joined the service I need this truck for my pcs move and needed it before I deploy. but I do not want a damaged truck with carfax issues off the bat. dealer has been ok with calling me.back when I leave message for an update lately but I wish I could get ahold of someone at ram who really matters and could take care.of a customer in need. 1 week with no responses from calling ram etc and email is unacceptable. sorry for my rant I know J--J order came in damaged as well. I can't afford to walk away and reorder at higher priced then I negotiated back in December. already top of my budget every penny pinched. got weathertech mats for Xmas from in laws. so very very frustrating experience. my 1st order with no tow tech group came in undamaged I should have bought that truck. 2nd order had the power fold mirrors and tow tech which I really wanted. but not sure what's going to happen now. highly doubt I will have a truck to move my camper and get my house packed and ready before I deploy now some experience.
What a joke, except it’s not funny at all.. I haven’t had an update in almost 4 weeks now. Can’t even get a current build code from dealer.
My dealer has been ignoring me for a week. He’ll never get another dime from me moving forward.

yes thats correct. dealer has been ZERO help. BG is all i get from them, they wont take the extra 30 seconds to shoot an email, or move up the ranks to management. Also was "promised" a truck to borrow (dealer took mine in on trade) to use for a couple weekends if my new order didnt come in time for camping season....well that was a lie. not to happy with my dealer.
I see your in Sask, if your willing to travel but give Brad MacDonald a call with Leduc Dodge in Leduc, AB. I’m from BC and I ordered in January and hopefully will be delivered mid May unless the train derails. He’s been awesome to deal with and doesn’t beat around the bush, all around great guy and has been pretty spot on with his time frames. Leduc is a high volume dealer which is why I believe my truck was built pretty quick.

Heard on here earlier this week that my truck is in JS status still. Storage yard. It has been sitting there since March 8th. Still needs to go back to vendor and pass a QC check.

Dealer (MD) says it is in KZ-LD status. Shipping phase, but delayed (due to trains). It is 100% complete, passed all inspections and has even been invoiced to them. Just delayed with no estimated shipping date in sight.

Ram chat this morning said it is in shipping phase. It is not stuck, or sitting in storage or held up for delays. They just said there are many factors and these things take time. But confirmed it is 100% road ready, passed all inspections and just waiting to be shipped. "Alexander" even went so far as to say that it will be shipping very soon, but also saw no estimated date in sight.

This part of the wait is still not as bad as waiting to see the thing get built. SOOOO glad it is built and ready for me. Before the truck existed I always fretted the whole thing getting the plug pulled because parts became unobtainable. But I'm passed that now, obviously. But it is indeed frustrating to not know what is going on?
Is it ready, or not?
Why are other truck not affected by these delays? - Trying to answer that question make me lean towards the answer that it has to go back to vendor and pass another qc check. So is it 100% road ready? Am I just missing one option like my power running boards?
If it is invoiced, then it is ready to go. But it hasn't moved in almost two months. Why is my truck being treated like a lost orphan?

Yours is 100%, you have EL and window sticker.

Power running boards are listed on your EL so they are installed.

Be careful...i had an EL before mine went to the vendor for spray in bedliner...and it is listed on my EL.

I should clarify...there can be items added to the truck after the EL is populated...the vendor installed items. But, I also would agree that when it goes KZ it should be complete.

If you have a window sticker, it is approved for shipping and has already cleared body vendor. KZ-LD sounds right. It’s probably sitting at the factory waiting for an empty railcar and a ride out of Mexico. Just a matter of timing at this point. The shipping phase of this process is hard to pin down. Tons of factors. The railroads are experiencing all sorts of delays and issues, to the point that Congress actually called rail representatives to the house and sat down with them to try and find out what’s causing all the issues. It’ll move, just have to be patient. It will either go by rail all the way, or potentially by boat for part of the journey depending on where your dealer is. Hang in there!

EL populates once the truck clears the assembly line, so in your situation things went exactly as planned.

The truck won’t hit KZ until it returns from the vendor and is approved by QC for shipping.

Correct. I may not have articulated that very well. Lol.

It’s ok, just wanted to clarify for the other posters benefit.

I’m just thankful it’s Friday and my truck is sitting in my driveway at this point. I feel really bad for these people still caught up in all of this. I don’t know how anyone can keep track of it all with all stages of this process being in turmoil.
