Oh man, you got really lucky!

My original order (canceled) was placed on Jan 10, and arrived at the dealership in St Louis MO on March 21. Just 63 days for the entire process.

Things have definitely slowed down since then with the final transfer from port to dealer:-

Reordered 1/28
Built 4/1
Arrived at Port Allen rail yard on 4/11 (according to Renae at Mark Dodge)
No further updates…. Today is 89 days.

But I shouldn’t complain, because we have plenty of members who’ve been waiting a lot longer.

mine is a Jan 10 order as well from MD, was supposed to hit Port Allen 4/10ish, and as you no further updates lol, just a system is down cant track will call when it gets in.. Also have another Jan 10th from MD order not even built yet same truck, different color lol.. Will say the 1500 we ordered jan 10th was built and delivered within 45 days.
 
My equipment listing just populated and I saw that there was a mistake on my order. The original build sheet I got the dealer had it as a short bed but the EL has the 8 foot bed. I see now that the updated build sheet from the dealer somehow got switched to the 8 foot bed and I didn’t realize it. That is a huge bummer. Not sure it’s a deal breaker but man that sucks and it’s at least partly on me because I signed the updated build sheet.

Bummer! Too bad I wasn't parsing that part of the VIN too. "R5K" indicates it's a Laramie Crew Cab Long Bed.

Many months ago we did help someone realize their dealer ordered a SRW instead of a DRW because they saw that detail on the sheet.

Have him reorder..its more his fault.. they look at those everyday..

Yeah it’s more an issue now with timing and having to start over. Luckily I was a quick turnaround but likely no chance I get a new order in time for this year.
 
Aaron from Mark Dodge just called - MY TRUCK ARRIVED !!!! Front bumper is damaged, so he is ordering a replacement. He described it as a small ding, but it's chrome, so replacement is the best option.

He also offered PPF (entire body, not including glass) for $700. I wasn't planning on spending money for this, but wondering if it's worth it? Billet Silver CCLB with chrome grill and chrome bumpers.....
 
Good luck, that sux, alot of time and money to spend and not get exactly what you want..

Yes, Paint Protection Film. It’s a super thin clear “wrap”

Ask Aaron if a 3500 MegaCab SRW Billet Silver is anywhere to be found.... LOL

PPF or ceramic coat? That is extremely cheap for PPF based on the estimates I have gotten. Another member said he got the ceramic coat done through a Mark Dodge affiliate for $700.

I started a thread on that ceramic coating question specifically from them.

I have decided against as I can get it marginally more expensive locally but have that warranty and can go in any time for issues vs outta luck unless I drive back to LA

Their offer is CarPro certified installer ceramic coat. not ppf
