2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

they reached out to me for my LES already! these guys are on top of it. I just don't like the conflicting info for the warranties. Ziegler/Mopar they say is bad because you can only get work done at dealerships, and sometimes dealers won't warranty some items. The LDS warranty they're pushing at me is supposedly good anywhere, but the consensus I get on Facebook is "don't get the LDS". So, I'm seeing that they are trying to push a product they are most likely selling, but I am in the dark on this kind of stuff. I have never had the luxury of researching warranties prior to buying.
Good I should be getting a call from them within the next couple of days to come pick mine up.

So out of curiosity, what seems to be the average time from trucks being built, to the time they get shipped? Tomorrow I hit 31 days per the dealer and other members, just seems like a long time to "wait on a train ticket."
Mine was built on 3/15 and shipped via train on 4/10

It's really hard to say. It seems in late February / beginning of March there was an issue with rail car availability and it seems there has been a delay built in due to the backup. I'm wondering now though if some of these vehicles were produced with parts available (say 98% assembled), grouped together by what is needed, then finally completed prior to shipment. That would account for the "JS" codes for such a sustained period "awaiting vendor action".
It wouldn't be surprising, especially when I've seen GMs produced without parts (like others have mentioned too) and when Ram has to flash cameras down the road to get them to function. Just seems odd to go ahead and build a truck just for it to sit in a lot, presumably one in direct sun, and bake for weeks.

This seems to be pretty consistent with what MD was telling people here recently...
Mine was built 2/19 and shipped 4/4
And this seems to be closer to the route I expect I'll be going...

Yeah, I mentioned the other day my buddy picked up a Denali 3500 off a lot nearby and the sticker was loaded with the word “delete”. His wife (I think a good driver) almost backed into a pole because the rear sensors (delete) are supposed to be added later…also shows our dependence on tech.

Is there a specific known fix for this? When I picked mine up, the reverse camera was working, but the bed camper had a blue screen. The Service tech scanned it and said there were no error codes, so he would have to do a full diagnostic. It was late in the day so he couldn't do it then, and the dealer is 2.5 hours from my house, so will be going to the local dealer.

Well I just got word that my '22 Olive Green Power Wagon level 3 is scheduled to ship May 15 to Canada. I'm really not sure what status code that would make it....D1 maybe? But its something!
I guess' I'll see it maybe a month after that date if everything goes well.

I ordered December 30, I got the vin number about a month later. When I ordered the sales manager did give me an internal stellantis document with all the truck and jeep packages on it and the intro on the document was "if including these packages lead times can be extensive" so I pulled out things like the sunroof, 360 cameras, and adaptive cruise

Yikes... I wonder at what point Ram will start to include "delete" on their stickers especially with the recent delays post. Good thing she didn't back into a pole, I'm sure his heart was racing!

I haven't seen that post pop up yet, I try to read everything each morning but I remember seeing someone complaining and the dealer told them "sometime in the summer" there would be a flash for the bed cameras. It had something to do with a chip shortage, but FCA found they could do an over the air fix to enable it? Didn't make much sense for me, especially if the hardware wasn't there...

Is that a Ontario order?
We ordered a pretty basic big horn,3500 srw mega cab, diesel ,gps, and spray in bed liner.Nothing really crazy.

Your luck u delete these things and it still is delayed. Hopefully it all works out for you.
No kidding, but it was the bed utility group (bed liner, light and a step) and the floor mats so it's worth a shot to me.

NEVER get an aftermarket warranty, lots of place won't accept them and some require you to pay out of pocket and have them reimburse you, the factory one also has towing and trip interruption

And the Ziegler/MOPAR warranty is factory… I’m just kinda spun in a circle by the amount of awesomeness I’ve had from MD, and them try to tell me “MOPAR/Ziegler bad, LDS good”. Maybe I’ve seen enough politicking in recent years to understand what’s going on, but damn it kinda just soured the experience.

Loaded PW, KZM on 3/23, crossing the GA/FL state line tonight 4/12.

Pretty awesome how fast our railyard and rail workers operate. (IMHO...).
