2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

KZ-LD is delayed in shipping. Probably cleared to ship the truck but holding it at the factory until they have enough to fill a rail car?

That makes sense.. the truck in question has a shipped date..I've searched it on other chrysler forums but have not found anyone that knows for sure what it is..

Or it’s going by boat. I’m in the KZLD and waiting on a Boat ride.
Could be , but I see the question asked on jeep , charger ,Durango forums also.. best I can see is a delay in shipping but that's just a guess.. how do u know your trucks going on a boat..

New member to the forum. South west Florida area. Order date 2/21, 2022 3500 SRW limited MC, HO Diesel, pearl white, loaded, excluding fifth wheel prep and trailer camera wiring. Also ram box delete. Now the wait!! Exciting.
Welcome. Settle in. Things are moving better nowadays than they were last year. Seems you are starting off at a good time. Enjoy this thread and the wonderful members who assist in it. It/we will keep you company as you wait. Fill out the order tracking sheet.

Also, remember, this is not the only thread on this site. Look around, gather info on what aftermarket parts you may want, learn about what issues are common with your specs, what oil and filters to use during routine maintenance. Gawk at other's trucks for the time being. As I said, settle in, but keep us and @OfficerDirtySanchez up to date on the build process, via posts or the tracking sheet.

Thank you. I gathered that things seem to be going smoother now from all the post in this thread. I had great intentions to order a year ago and after talking with my salesman and heard that it could take 8 months or more, I decided to wait. I have a 2020 ram 1500 which I had purchased new Jan 1st of 2020 and shortly after purchased a fifth wheel and quickly realized that I wanted to upgrade to a 1 ton. I have owned a few other Ram heavy duties over the years and loved them all. Very excited to go back to a 1 ton. Thanks for the info. And advise. Will do.

Ordered our big horn 3500 srw last September, next week it will be 6 months,we are in Ontario, Canada.
Haven't heard anything,is this the way it is ?

The wife and I jumped on a plane from Orlando to MD Thursday morning. I had already completed the business end, so after a lunch at Steamboat Bill’s for some real good Cajun food, ( when in Rome..) we hit the highway.

After removing 20# of air out of each tire, (they had 95 pounds of air!) truck rode better than my 21’ Ram 2500 that I sold previously.
We arrived back in Orlando at 2:00 pm today,
925 miles. Just got back from the tire store, where I had my old wheels installed.
I was going to install some Cooper 295’s like I had on my old truck, but the price has increased $65 per tire in about six months.
Guess I’ll run the Firestone’s for now.

Dealing with MD has been the best vehicle purchase I’ve ever done. Billy and Jason in finance were fantastic. Also thanks to the moderators and everyone associated with tracking our trucks.

A bit let down that md didnt catch the tire pressure in pdi, so I am glad that i brought my air pressure gauge with me.

First time poster.

So my 3500 Limited DRW arrived this week at the dealer, only 6 weeks later than they estimated (5 months total). And it was damaged in transit. According to my dealer, the FCA rep for the Nashville, TN area was out on paternity leave and couldn't get an answer on what FCA will do since my new truck is now not factory new. Damage entailed replacing the front and rear bumpers (was apparently not secured while on the train) and there was a large scratch/dent on the dually wheel fender. The truck will look new as the bumpers are full replacements, including the sensors. But the scratch could potentially show later. Their collision shop is doing the work, so it's not like a mechanic is doing body work.

My deal still stands with the dealer. I told them I'm not paying brand new pricing (~5% off MSRP) for a truck that has a Car Fax report. This is all an insurance claim with shipping. I'm hoping they offer $10k off since it's damaged. I'm not sure what to do. I don't have another 5-6 months to wait on another truck.

It was sad seeing my dream truck in the body shop with no bumpers, rear fender all sanded down waiting on paint. Really not sure what to do.

Similar thing happened to me. My truck was broken into and they ripped out the battery(s). Can't get it off the rail car and could not give me even an estimate of when they could get it off. I found a truck on line about 100 miles from my home, a bit of an upgrade. I ordered a Big Horn the truck I just purchased is a Laramie. I would still be waiting for the truck had I not found the Laramie and I have to tell you the truck is awesome!

My dealer told me the damage would never show on a Car Fax report because it was never registered, not sure if that is true but you may want to look into that. I do not envy your decision as I was in the same boat and I hope things work out for you. If it is any consolation, in my research I found that more vehicles than you would think are damaged in transit and what's more interesting, the dealer is under no obligation to tell you. They fix them and sell them and the buyer never knows!

Regardless of wether or not the damage shows on a car fax report, the truck is no longer new. The original paint has been sanded off and replaced. The truck was not delivered in absolutely new condition and they need to recognize that and work with you. You should’ve been paying 4-5% below the invoice price to start with. Then add the damage reduction on top of that. If they won’t deal then I would see what they can do to re-order the truck and get priority at the factory to move one up in the line and again you need to be paying 5% below invoice price and they should get you a loaner truck in the meantime. If that doesn’t go anywhere then I hate to say it but I would reorder with a different dealer. One of the big ones guaranteed to give you 4-5% off the invoice. Places like mark dodge seem to be getting their trucks in much quicker these days.

LOL Not sure which picture I like the best...... but thought I was going to see real Cajun food on the table like Gumbo, Jambalya, Crawfish Etouffee, Dirty Rice or Boudin Sausage, but Red Beans & Rice made the list. The rest is just deep fried seafood with Cajun seasoning.......

Pls remind me what the tire pressures should be for 2500. 65 front and 70 rear?

Its like Graceland for Rams

Just curious from peoples past experience how long after all parts are their to build your truck till it actually gets put in line/ started?

Thanks for taking and posting those pics @Texasram1
Look at that Mark Dodge building! What a place! I’m in small town coastal bend Texas. We simply don’t have any sort of structure like that around where I live. Sorry for sounding like “country went to town”
