No problem. As always, take these dates with a grain of salt. They don’t hold well.

So if it’s got 3 legs ferromex, Union Pacific, and CSX i can still just call CSX?Once you have a railcar number and determine where your final rail destination is, you can use automated phone tracking or there are members here with insiders that can help also. You’ll need to know which rail carrier your truck will be moving. For instance if CSX is your final leg carrier, you may be able to use their system even if the truck comes out of Mexico on BNSF.![]()

What does LL stand for?Waiting on my LL as well, seems that every other trim takes priority over these. Looks like you ordered a little over a month ago?

Thanks!First pic is generic numbers from the site. Next is my numbers based on VIN. Payload dropped a bit, towing is higher.

It's a bit chaotic how their facility seems to work. One day they're producing Big Horns and Laramies, the next day it's only Hemis, another day they're doing Limited and Tradesmen. If you go back far enough in this thread you’ll find a time when the LL’s were the hot commodity and were rolling off the line in large numbers. I don’t think there’s any sort of rhyme or reason to it unfortunately.

Those are current as of today. Not trying to steal your thunder brv10 , just thought I’d try to do some digging on my end and see if I could come up with anything to help these guys out.

My estimated build date was Monday with no update, low hopes to begin with on that one. But it's even more insane how FCA seems to prioritize some builds while others get skipped and then they seem to "circle back."
I 100% understand the fact we don't see the whole picture. My industry is dealing with lack of materials as well so it's across the entire nation/world these days. Even though their resources change on the daily, it would greatly help consumers (and dealers) if they would just explain the process some more, or provide some more updates.I agree. To the outsider much of what they do doesn’t make sense or seem logical. However, given the current economic climate and the difficulties getting materials, I can’t even imagine how they are able to get any sort of reliable process together. Parts availability, shipping delays, wildly fluctuating costs across the board….it has to be a logistics and planning nightmare. I know on the customer side it is frustrating and sometimes downright infuriating. And rightly so. We just have to let calmer heads prevail when it comes to this stuff. The truck will get built.
I think a big part of the issue, and why so much grief, is that dealers are in some cases making claims and promises that are either downright false, or impossible. There are so many links in the chain that it’s hard to pick where the issue starts.

Think of it this way. There only so many parts on hand at any given time. Say they run all the builds they can with all the 12" displays. Once they run out of 12" displays, all those builds are back burnered until more 12" screens come in. But funny enough, there is a high percentage of HO's with 12" displays, so while running those builds, the also depleted their stocks of the HO Cummins and Aisins on hand. They just received a bunch of Mega Cab chassis though....so Hemi Mega cabs get run. They are constantly shifting from one type of build to another depending on the parts on hand. I imagine the prioritize the more expensive/complicated builds when all the parts are available and then within that framework, the "sold" trucks vs the dealer stock orders. The problem is unless you dig into the option level of every build, you can't see any of these trends. My truck took 3 months and I haven't actually taken possession yet due to the utility bed not having yet arrived. It's still a week or two out.I agree. ordered 2 Ram 2500's Limited 1/10/22 still D status as far as I know (last week dealer update)
ordered 1 Ram 1500 Laramie 1/10/22 Eco diesel yada yada, hit the dealer yesterday.
Hate pestering dealer for updates every couple of weeks lol.
Right! They have to bounce around in order to make maximum use of the product materials on hand, and keep production happening. Makes sense that the trucks come out in batches.Think of it this way. I would like to dive deeper into the whole “dealer allocation” concept someday. Maybe if I can make contacts in the right places. I feel like these trucks that get repeatedly passed over and left for months may be casualties, in some cases, Of an ordering dealer with a small or limited allocation.
Hahaha the only part of this that reminds me of the military is hurry up and waitThe logistical nightmare that comes with that sounds so much fun to figure out! I mean, it’s a headache for anyone wanting an anticipated delivery date, but I love puzzles and this reminds me of some of the operational planning I had to do in the military!
