What did you do TO your RAM today?

Did you make something to hold it even? I think it is a great idea in general.

Here’s a pic of the bottom. It’s got some strips to give it a bit of height. It notches in to one of the rear seat brackets and sits on top, so the strips made it all sit even.

The hardest part was getting all of the notches right to be able to get in and out relatively easily.

Did you do the dental floss trick or something different?
Probably more than you were asking for, but incase anyone else is interested. Here is what I did.

Cleaned the surrounding area
Heat gun to warm the badge and pain. Mainly the badge, and was sure not to overheat the paint or melt the badge. Just enough to be able to slightly wiggle the badge.. then just slowly pry it off by hand being sure not to bend the badge if you plan on selling them. Then I used an eraser wheel and 3m adhesive remover to remove the glue

Heat gun and eraser wheel are what made this job easy. Probably 30 min to do both doors and tailgate. Cheap Heat gun I got off amazon, and the 3m stuff i got from work.

appreciate the info - i've done just dental floss before on cars but wasn't sure if the Ram emblems were tacked on a bit more sturdy or not .

Mine was just built in October so it wasn't that bad. I would do it with out a Heat gun.

When I did my 2019, I didn't debadge it till a year or two after it was built. The glue was much more ridged. And the sun had faded the paint so there was a ghost out line of the badge from where the paint had never seen the sun.

Finished debadging today. Going to detail it later today or tomorrow pending on when I finish up at work.

Hi Linked4door. What’s the purpose of de-badging? The emblems certainly don’t weigh very much, so drag can’t be the concern. Just curious

3 horsepower gain easily.

seriously though - i think it's just a visual appearance preference. I don't like badges everywhere, just as much as I don't like stickers all over. Minimalistic for me.

Thank you for the part number on the eraser wheel. I've been trying to find one like that for a while now.

Just personal preference. I am thinking about shaving the tailgate emblem also, but not sure i am ready to start welding on my truck before the first oil change..

My other truck is a dakota with no badges and shaved tailgate handle. And the door handles are going to be shaved off also.

Saamooth Dakota! Minimalistic Eh……I am afraid to ask but does that mean by chance Speedo at the beach? o_O :D

Replaced my old BakFlip Revolver with an Undercover Armor Flex. Install was a PIA and I hope the install is not indicative of the durability of this tonneau cover. But it does look nice!

Got the Grey Ghost cleaned up from the 3000 mile trip from Mark Dodge to Olympia, usually dump break in oil sooner but changed today with SRT filter and 7 quarts of Red Line at little over 3500 miles and seemed a bit quieter after. Installed Fumoto valve for mess free future oil changes and installed Carhardt seat covers. Have Thuren 1/2 lowing springs and accessories in garage and will install once I figure out what shocks I will add all around.

Installed Fumoto valve for mess free future oil changes

I haven't heard of these, but plan on ordering one. I'm currently in a 1500 Eco diesel, so I haven't had to change the oil as frequently, but it's still messy.
It looks like you got the F106N with the long nipple? Have you tried pushing a drain hose onto the short nipple (F106S)? I'd hate to bend a nipple due to ground clearance issues

I have the short nipple version in my power wagon(Hemi). In retrospect, I’d get the regular length nipple. I have a skid plate on mine so it’s totally protected. I have to hold the hose on the nipple until the hose softens from the warmth or else it might fall off. Not the end of the world, but would be easier with the longer nipple to just shove the hose on there, open the valve, and walk away

I ran these on my prior lowered trucks with out issue. Just be cautious.

FWIW, I went with a femco on my currant ram, you could look into those as they will give you more clearance depending on which one you get.

They both work great order the hose with it for a few extra bucks, for the person that wants to change their own oil I believe it’s a proven game changer…
