2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

It looks like the orders are coming in a lot quicker lately. Always glaring exceptions of course, but it seems like a good trend. Mine was a bit over 14 weeks which for an October order was probably about average. I started reading this thread when I ordered the truck and have all of it, a great source of information. A few things I've noticed (completely subjective) are that the delays seem totally random. It doesn't look like you can save delivery time by dropping certain options. The only thing is there definitely is a time lag on duallys that have to be loaded onto trucks. And, if your location gives you a rail delivery that avoids changing trains that's a big help. Luck is good too. I went to shipping in Saltillo and caught a train the very next day.

Was wondering what the time frame that the tires were put into the new truck. It will need to be checked before taking delivery I would assume. Mine is due at the dealer in the next couple of weeks, just one more thing to keep in mind.

A couple of comments about my truck after a week and 300 miles: Friends and family who've ridden in at are very surprised at how quiet and smooth the ride is. They remember my 2011 F350 dually. You had to check your back teeth for loose kidney bits from time to time in that thing. My long bed Limited does not have the optional factory air bags, and came with 90 psi in the tires, and is very smooth for a heavy duty. You get wobbled around a bit on the bumps and railroad crossings but it is not jarring at all. I've taken the tire pressures down to 65 psi front and 80 psi rear, so it's a bit better yet. I told the wife if she thinks it's too rough when not towing that I'd swap out the wheels and tires to change from 20" to 18" but it looks like that won't be needed.
Cold weather and short trips are killing the fuel mileage, but I know that's going to improve as I pile on the miles. I'm glad I got the 50 gallon tank. That option tipped the scales to picking a long bed. The dealer spent about half the cost of the option when he filled it up for me.

Hey if you have a free second can you see if there is anything for 3C63R3NL3NG265397.

Have to check the codes and see.

@brv10

If you have a sec, can you check to see if I'm still D1? Had an est. ship date of 2/2, but nothing so far. Just wondering if I slipped back to D

Thanks!

1 week in May - 10380 tires (2076 trucks worth at 5 tires per truck) - most likely used up on late 2021 or very early 2022 if line was down. But still worth a check for 1821 date code. Is there a 2021 site this should be posted to?

AND dont forget to check Spare tires - the 18" Transforce HT are used for for ALL Spares even if you have 20 inch wheels.

Check their website its on there. I don't recall all the directions, but it took about 2 minutes. Good Luck! The short process is well worth the $500 discount.
Thanks

I got look into it. Question, I know ALL the rebates have been removed, but didn’t Ram offer a Farm Bureau Rebate at one time?

I just checked their website because I am a member of Farm Bureau and the only thing listed is for Ford trucks. You had me excited for a minute.

My early October Longhorn build - LT275/70R18 Transforce HT - Date Codes 3421 thru 3721 (August-Sept). Laramie built in October with same Transforce HT tires had all 4 with 4121 date code (week beginning Oct 11) or within a couple of weeks of truck build.

I would say they are receiving Tire/Wheel assemblies very soon after tires are manufactured and using them up pretty fast now that line is in production mode. Transforce AT may be a bit slower as they are an Option but only thing that would cause you to have older 1821 (May 2021) tires is if you had odd wheel trim like my Longhorn or truck was held up for some reason.

Definitely worth checking for 1821 date code, but unlikely that anything built since Sept or Oct would have tires that "old". More likely late 2021 or very early 2022.

AND NOTE: ALL TRUCKS even with 20 inch wheels get the LT275/70R18 Transforce HT for a spare - DONT FORGET TO CHECK YOUR SPARES.
