2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Just got an update yesterday from dealer. Truck just went up $1700 in price. Now Delmonico Red is a $200 option.

I keep telling my salesman that they needed to apply price protection but they keep saying they do that at delivery and I’ve told them no it should been done at ordering

100% agree. Prices should be locked in. Here is my $1000 deposit in good faith that I will buy this vehicle and now provide me a good faith guarantee that you will honor the price.

I’m holding them to it they the ones not applying for the price protection I told them upfront

That's what I told them. Worked for me. I didn't put 1000 down on some mystery priced vehicle. Not my problem if the price goes up. I agreed to order it because of the deal we negotiated. I mean some people can just write a check and don't care but most of us aren't in that position.

Where are you getting your facts? If your dealer gave you a true POC then the numbers are clearly stated at the Bottom of the form. Some simple math will give you the % numbers.

Here was my sale on a 2022 Big Horn here in OH. MSRP was $58K+

EP Pricing @ 11.25% of MSRP= $51,706.13 Plus Ohio Taxes $3,748.69 at 7.25% = $55,454.8 Plus Title/Registration $66.00 Plus Dealer Doc Fees $250.00 = MY Total Cost $55,770.82

FFP Pricing
@ 8% of MSRP =$53,751.00 Plus Ohio Taxes $3836.94 at 7.25% = $57,647.94 Plus Title/Registration $66.00 Plus Dealer Doc Fee $250.00 = My Total $57,963.94

Dealer Invoice
@ 9% = $53,166.75 Plus Ohio Taxes $3,854.59 at 7.25%= $57,021.34 Plus Title/Registration $66.00 Plus Dealer Doc Fee $250.00 = My Total Cost $57,337.34

Dealer Hold Back
$1,752.75
I'm an ep.. you may be right ep 1% above invoice.. and any where from 10 to 11.5% off msrp .. which works out to 5% below invoive.. some dealers will throw in another 500 to 1000..

My MSRP went up $2000 from original price sheet. Dealer never even mentioned it and also honored the Truecar discount. I had a sales paper showing my price, my deposit, taxes, etc. that showed what is as to lay out the door no exceptions. The build sheet has a disclaimer about prices changing but not the sales agreement.

same here I negotiated sales price before ordering. if my price changes I'll walk. I only left a 100.00 down because he said I didn't need to leave a deposit. this way I at least have a receipt to show I left the deposit. all I got was a poc and paid the front counter. every time I go in he tells me I beat him up on price and he never gives these kinda deals. probably dosent but when u go in for 6 months looking no inventory and decide to order when you have lower quote from MD he worked price a little cause he knew I did homework and know what they are worth. he even told his sales man he assigned since he ordered for me (manager) this is type of customer you didn't want months ago rhis is what you want today probably referring to needing a sale or something. but yes prices are out of this world I never ever thought I'd buy a truck this expensive 3 yrs ago it was a 60k truck now its 80k omg. times we are in today.

Sorry to ask this if this was asked earlier. Is there a way to get blind spot detection for ram 2500 or 3500 on Laramie or big horn? I don’t see that option to add. It is not part of the safety package either.

Any rubbing problems? Especially when off road?
Clears back of fender well by about 1/2 inch on full turn. It might rub a little if suspension compresses while turning. I just picked it up today so not much time to figure it out.

I think we are in agreement.... LOL With much research I found that average dealer invoice is about 9% below MSRP. I didn't have the ability to do EP or FFP pricing so I went with Tread Lightly at 1% below Dealer Invoice or (10% below MSRP), Plus I got the $500 Military Discount. Not as good as what Mark Dodge offers, but given I'm in OH the round trip cost to LA and back would have eaten up any savings. Given many dealers want MSRP Plus Market Adjustments given the current shortage I feel I did Ok on my purchase.
