Silly question about back seats in crew cab

I agree, don't really understand the purpose of the mod, didn't look like it was worth it.

Some people like the extra room behind the seat and like being able to fold the seat down to utilize the space. I know i do. I think that is the purpose of the mod.

two square type flashlights, a bed roll, motorcycle tie downs. a couple of snatch straps. under seat I keep all of my car and farm equipment chains / binders, more tow straps, clean up towels, gloves, etc...

Cargo tie-downs, bubba rope, air compressor, Tire patch kit, tow straps, first aid kit, emergency supplies, seat cover when not in use, etc... Lots of things that I feel I should have with me, but don't need to be under the seat for immediate access, nor taking up bed space.
 
In my previous truck, I mounted a board behind the seat. It had a 110W VHF Race Radio main unit, an Amp for the stereo system, a Blaupunkt powered Sub, and a power distribution system all mounted to it. There is room if you use it right. I also had my first aid kit stored there.

Recover gear for my winch. VHF race radio main unit. Small stuff I don't use on a regular basis.

In floor boxes are already full with smaller recovery gear, so the straps are behind the seat.

Ya ya...it's like guys who buy winches for their Jeeps and Trucks and never leave the pavement.
I just prefer to keep that stuff in the tool box...
I have my tow straps, ring shalckes, impact, sockets, bottle jack, compressor,charger for the impacts,box wrench set, etc...

Plus I don't have to listen to crap back there if it rattles hahaha
