2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Hopefully one of you guys can chime in.
So today my satellite radio stopped working. Says, “satellite hardware error”. Is this something simple I can fix? I’ve had to turn the truck off several times on my drive but same error.
The other issue, little white knuckle type, thankfully only happened once. While driving late night on the freeway using adaptive cruise and NO TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF ME the truck all of a sudden has a bell, a red alert flashed and the brakes came on pretty hard. It was as if it thought I was going to run into someone but as I said no traffic was in front of me anywhere.
That sounds terrifying. Iv been anticipating hearing scenarios like that.

Well, they say cameras see things we can't.:eek::eek:

When I first got my 1500 something similar happened to me. The truck all but refused to drive forward. Turns out, I had hit a butterfly and the wing was covering one of the forward sensor's. Scared the daylights out of me, but laughed afterwards. Check your sensors to see if something has covered one. Hopefully for you it will be this simple. Can't help with the radio....

I have had this happen on my 2019 Tundra that I just sold as well. Its super scary, mine happened when some snow and ice blew onto the sensor, blocking it and throwing the forward collision warning.

What’s everyone use to ‘build’ their truck, just the ram trucks website, or has anyone received an order spreadsheet / check list to go through when optioning out from the dealer ordering from? Thank you for helping.

First person to almost hit a ghost trailer!

Here in Florida with all the sandy road shoulders it is easy to get stuck with a 2WD unless you carry weight in the bed all the time. On the Gulf coast side of Florida there are plenty of places near the beach that are desirable to park for a walk down to the beach but you have watch for the soft sandy shoulders if you drive a 2WD and no weight in the bed of the truck.
That pretty much describes the Outer Banks in NC as well.

The ram site will get you close but you wont know what is actually available until the dealer tries to inputt the order. MSRP Pricing is also about 1500 bucks low depending on packages selected. In the case of my build on a big horn:

I couldn't get the premium lighting package without the sport package or the level C group. Also couldn't get the rambox without level C.
Also, one dealer told me no rambox and another was able to get it. None of this is known just by building on the website.

I think you can also use the costco website to build one and the package selection may be a little more up to date but still not 100 percent.

Did you try a soft reset on the uconnect?
With truck in park and in run mode (started or not) press and hold both the volume and tuner knobs simultaneously for 10 to 20 seconds.
You should see a flash and RAM name, then it goes dark. Wait for it to finish the reset and see if Sirius will play.

In my other vehicle (non Ram) I’ve had my adaptive cruise activate for a leaf that blew in front of the vehicle. Other times it came on after a reflection off of a highway barrier when going around a turn. I just stopped ever using adaptive cruise at night or when towing. Don’t trust it.

What Window tint do you guys recommend? I live in North Texas so it's usually super hot in the summer. Ceramic vs Carbon? Or is there another option?

Thanks
I used XPEL Prime XR Plus, we are in Phoenix so we get a little warm as well! 98% infrared heat rejection claimed, they had a display with different options and a heat lamp behind it, huge difference between the cheap films and the high end films.

That’s what I think happened. Weather has been s**t here in Colorado lately.
