2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I actually believe that it’s a chat bot with a AI built in that responds based on the information inputted. I did the regular customer service chat and not the new vehicle purchase chat once and I offended the CR rep when I basically asked if they were a real person. A lot of the new vehicle chat help is basically the same text each week I chat them. I compared previous chats and it was either they are good at cut and paste or it’s a chat bot.

I just ordered my truck. Dealer told me that they will honor the pricing, and I have this in writing. The finance guy also told me that he will look for any available discounts/rebates at time time of delivery and apply those.
Super excited to move up from a 2014 Tradesman 1500 Ecodiesel to a 2022 Laramie 2500 Hemi

You are prepared for the huge difference in fuel economy, correct?

Finally got to pick her up last night! 8/18 Order Date, sat in rail yard since before Christmas and finally arrived yesterday morning.
2500 Laramie Night Edition 4x4 MC-Laramie Lvl B, Auto Level, Safety Group B, Towing Tech B, 5th Wheel Prep, 12" Nav, Power Deploy Running Boards. Even has the rare but highly desirable power folding mirrors! Not too much different from my 2020 that was just traded other than the digital rearview, auto level and the color but happy with it so far. Oh and upgraded aftermarket tires/wheels which I never did on my last truck and is well worth the cost IMO.
Sorry for the crappy picture but it has either been dark or raining here since I got it (as the usual for anyone picking up a new vehicle).
Hope you all are blessed with your new rides soon and that they are everything you expected them to be!!!

Look Awesome. What wheels and tires are those. I may do the same for my 3500. Thx

I just learned that my 3500 is in the frame building stage. I understand that the build is an 8 hour process. Does that time frame include the frame and paint stage or is it 8 hours after that process is complete? If after, how long is the frame and paint process? Thanks!

Funny you mention that because that's what I'm dealing with. My truck is maybe 20 minutes away in a lot but they need to have enough vehicles to deliver to the dealership to take it there. Kinda ****ty but it makes sense.
if not in the union area, ask if you can pay for it to be hotshot to the dealership. Can never hurt to ask

Okay, can you guys remind me of why you went from the stock tires, I know they are not the best, what you recommend and who and how much you sold the tires for?

Thanks, really happy with how it turned out!
Fuel Sledge 20x9 +20 offset in gloss black/milled with 285/65R20 Ridge Grappler tires (After hours of research lol). Stock suspension and no rubbing or any other issues. Wanted to go with 295/65 or 35x12.5 but lots of discrepancy on whether they would rub or not. May add the Carli pin top level designed for auto level Rams when these wear out but want to make sure I will be keeping this one as I have been trading every 2 years or so. 285/65's should fit stock wheels as well but I was ready for something different as I ran stock Night edition wheels on my last one. These do stick out just a bit past the flares but will be adding Mopar mud flaps when I take it to get the windows tinted.

My salesman just e-mailed that my truck hit the Pearland TX rail yard at 0800 this morning. This is the final rail stop. He's suggesting to allow 7 to 10 days for a car carrier to get it to them. In an earlier note he said it has actually happened in 1 day, but I think I'll plan for 7 to 10 days.

For those of you ordering trucks, are you able to lock in your pricing at the time of order? All of my build quotes are saying that pricing is subject to change and I'm being given a 25-30 week tentative window of delivery. At what point is the pricing not subject to change. I'm not comfortable putting up a 1000 dollar non refundable deposit and not knowing what my final price will end up.
my price is locked in yes, even better is that when my truck arrives and there is better deals going on for rebates or finance, i get those deals. You can go back as for as 30 days here and take those deals when truck arrives. Only time the price wouldnt be locked in, is if I never got a 2022, and they were now making 2023s, i would be subject to the rate increase. This is what my sales manager discussed with me when i ordered. My sales guy was new, so my whole order was done in the sales managers office.

What am I going to tow it with? I think the truck it self is over the towing capacity of my frontier
No, you don't do it, a licensed company does it. They have access to certain areas. Only your dealership would be able to do this for you.

Hello everyone,
new to this Forum but not to Rams... currently own 2016 Ram 1500 Ecodisel and thinking about 2500 Ram Laramie / CTD.
After reading for hours through most of this thread, I am strongly considering Mark Dodge for my next truck factory order... the question I have is:
How tax credit on trade-in works with MD? Here in WA, I will receive tax credit when purchasing a new car, about 10% of my trade-in value. Since I'm out of state buyer for LA, how would that work?
Anyone have experience they could share?
Thanks
