2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Here's the route I pieced together for the route from Saltillo to Memphis, based upon calling the UP and CSX 1-800 numbers with the rail car number. My 6/21 order departed Saltillo on 1/10 or 1/11 and arrived in Memphis at 2:43 AM on 1/16 It spent a day in San Antonio, TX and a day in Little Rock, AR. Delivery is estimated 1/31-2/14.

Delivery is estimated or was estimated at 1/31 - 2/14? Its in memphis now, so you should have it very soon, no?

And a 5 day ride from Mexico isnt too bad. Gives me hope that the trip to MD may be a day or two shorter :)

I picked my truck up on Tuesday! Definitely worth the wait! I can’t wait to see how it does pulling our camper this spring. 260 miles now and 1 gas station stop since the full tank from the dealer. Everything works perfect although I did have one hiccup with the 8.7 inch screen and my iPhone 13 Pro Max. CarPlay and everything was working fine but when making a phone call there was no audio. I did a soft reset and it has worked perfect sense. This forum will be my go to for sure. You guys are great!
Very nice! That shipped pretty quick. I believe ours were built the same day but my ETA is Feb 3rd - Feb 18th. Hopefully it comes sooner. Enjoy the truck!

Yes, it shipped faster than I expected. It got off the train on the 6th I believe and arrived at the dealer on the 9th. Ramchat actually upped my deliver ETA, so you may still want to check every few days. Fingers crossed it will be a little earlier than expected!

Is estimated. I had multiple estimated build dates, the last being 12.21. A few days after I got my build sheet, I was given the estimated delivery date to the dealer of 1/31-2/14. The arrival was to the rail yard and the truck still needs to be delivered to the dealer, which is an hour north of Memphis. On Friday, I posted a pic of the lot where the vehicles area offloaded from the rail cars for Chrysler, Ford and Hyundai, and there were a lot of cars to be delivered, so I can see it taking two to four weeks to get to the dealer.

Nice truck sir! I pretty much have the same truck coming! Just a different color. I ordered on 11-1 and it just got built the end of last week!

Ok so I’ve been down for the count the last 10 days. Haven’t checked in in forever. Anyone with a late December order like me see any movement? Just wondering

You’ll love it! Mine was a 10/21 order built on 12/20 and shipped to Indiana. Hopefully you won’t have to wait much longer!

I have a question that I am hoping someone can answer. I’ve searched but couldn’t find this specific info.

I’ve got all of the necessary rail tracking info/numbers, but I tried the UP line today to see how it worked and no matter what I did I could not get it to correctly recognize what I was saying. The CSX system was much more user friendly, but my shipment is so new it may not be in the system yet as CSX said no record found.

My question is will the CSX tracking work as soon as the rail car hits UP/the states or does it need to hit CSX for it to work? I’ve heard people (unless I am mistaken) tracking cars on UP via the CSX line. My rail drop off is Orlando, but I was just curious for future tracking efforts.

If your train car is passing through the CSX network then using the CSX system to track the car should result in some sort of location information, even if it is currently being moved by a different rail network. If CSX is your final leg carrier, once it hits their rail network, in most cases you should also get an ETA attached to the location information.

Also, if you’re using these automated systems sometimes you will get better results if you type the information in, rather than trying to use the voice capture technology. It isn’t a perfected science.

I was recommended by a member to give the Norfolk Southern line a shot and that gave me my first bit of info. For fun, after I did that I called the CSX line and I got some info from them as well for the first time.

The NS line gave me more recent info (one day ahead) then the CSX line. CSX told me I was still in Mexico as of the 14th and NS placed me in Eagle Pass Texas as of the 15th.

I was never able to get an ETA on any of my inquiries from UP or CSX for the whole trip..

Yeah that doesn’t always happen and I’m not sure why. Seems like that’s a recent thing. Probably a sign of how much has changed in the last two months. I tracked mine back in November and the minute it switched over to CSX it had an eta assigned to the shipment, as did several others I was helping to get info for. Shipping delays are really starting to hit home now.

Are you saying you only went 260 miles on a tank of gas? 2500? 3.73 or 4.10?

On the UP line, it definitely works better when NOT on speaker-phone, headset, earphones. Rather than saying the information, I entered the last 6 digits of the car number on the keypad and it worked reliably.

Using the CSX line, it often mis-understood what I said, specifically when saying the four letter car initials. I would just keep repeating until the system got it correct. Again, it seems to work better when not using speaker phone, headset, etc. When saying the car number, I found it often left of the last digits and I would just keep repeating until it got it right. I used the UP line the most.

I found both numbers often gave me location names that i didn't understand and couldn't find on the map. Like Semantin, TX when the other number said South San Antonio, TX, or Lacriss, AR, when in North Little Rock.

CSX worked as soon as UP worked for me, from the very beginning and I was definietly on UP track/train.

Thank you for the reply. I was using speaker phone with UP so that may have been my issue. Thankfully both CSX and Norfolk Southern are showing data now and are both pretty easy to use.

Question for all those Canadian Buyers out there. I ordered a 2022 RAM 3500 Limited Longhorn Diesel, order was placed Oct 29/21- after two weeks it went into BG status. Inquired with the Dealer Jan 3–who called the Chrysler Rep. That Rep said that my order is stalled as the truck can not be built because the deployment mopar box step is not available. I told the Dealer to remove the step as this can be added on later. WELL, all of a sudden on Jan 5 my order went to D status with a VIN # issued (what the hell). Thinking if I was not babysitting my order it still would be stalled. My question is how long after a “D” status will the truck be delivered? By the where RAM-CHAT doesn’t work for Canadian orders.
