probably wont be able to. just sell it to someone on here. i tried to add once they accepted my order and i was still in d with only a vin. Dealer rep told my dealer to reorder me a truck 1 month in just so i could get the tow group b. glad they and i did because it also got me laramie b vs d and now that means i should probably get power folding tow mirrors and the surround view cameras i wanted. on top of this ram chat also says all parts for build are accounted for. vs the nov order which is still in d gathering parts crazzy. same truck with more options on the new build

There's no satisfying feeling of engagement on the diesel cap, it just snugs in there. Other than that, they both work fine. The magnet on the diesel cap is helpful. I didn't get the locking versions. Pricier than Amazon, but American made and knew they would work without issue.
 
alright heres a question someone might be able to answer. What is the difference from laramie d package in November and Laramie B in December. and the Laramie b from before November and the one that opened back up in December? was anything taking away. i would assume if they took away it would have changed the package name again. my dealer couldnt tell me if there was any changes and the ram build website hasnt changed in months from what i can tell.

I ordered my truck 11/16 and requested to make a change on 12/6 (still in D status at the time). Amanda at Granger said she’d put in the request but couldn’t promise anything. Heard back 12/15 that it was approved and was also told that I was D1 in the same email.

I told them , hopefully they got it fixed.. had the change to a limited slip last order . I noticed they forgot that the same day

Yes. And you will note its not oriented correctly. It has a raised flat spot at top.
You can buy a Mopar accessory tethered green cap but its no where near as nice as the Mopar accessory cap for the 2015 diesel filler

Same thing happened to mine, it sat for 5 days at the yard, another members truck was loaded and taken on the day they got there. My truck was scheduled to be delivered by Hansen & Adkins, nothing all week then it magically appeared at the the dealer, by Jack Cooper transport. Very weird, that's why I don't mention the trucking company anymore. Very glad your truck is at the dealer!

You can try. Ask your salesman. He will have to go to Regional manager. A lot depends on current status. Other option is to post for sale on forum. There is a trailer camera thread and several people were looking for cameras

Correct. For the most part, any new or used vehicle brought into TX from another state to be titled/registered here has to go through the inspection first. For diesels it's only the safety inspection, no OBDII sniffing. Not sure if HD Hemi's get OBDII checked, though.

When I bought mine from Mark Dodge, I had them skip any title/reg paperwork (didn't finance so they didn't have to collect TT&L) and I handled it back in TX after I got the truck inspected. I had to transfer a personalize plate so I wanted to make sure that didn't get messed up across state lines. Not sure how needing the inspection first before title/reg might mess things up though going through the dealer. I'm sure they've sold enough vehicles to Texans to know how it all works, though.

That was my question, I live in Texas and I have personalized plates I would like to use. Are they going to take care of that or should I wait until I buy the truck and then bring it over and deal with the dmv in Texas?

Talk with Aaron. I bet they have experience and will know what to do, or if not, they can figure it out for you. If you're financing, then I think they'll have to do something with the TT&L but how the personalized plates factor in could complicate things a little. Or not, they likely know.

Are you trading in the vehicle with the personalize plate you want to transfer?

I traded in mine and took the plates off at the dealer to take home with me, and pulled off the registration sticker. Drove home with the LA temp tag on the new truck and drove around with it until did the TT&L in Texas.

If it’s the one that hooks to the rear view mirror and not the surround set, I might be interested in purchasing it. The surround view won’t work for my toy hauler.

Can’t comment on the differences in Laramie levels since I did not study them enough over that time.

But I have conspired that the standard Laramie features after Dec 9, 2021 included power fold tow mirrors, proximity keyless entry and the Night Edition option became available again. That’s the most recent I can come up with for now by studying some of the members build sheets and MONRONEY’s that were ordered in Oct/Nov. Again, I gather that before December 9th those options were simply not on Laramies. Certainly not standard features. There could be more than what I just mentioned, of course there could be some things that are missing now as standard features as well. But that’s what I have noticed.

You can potentially make a change. I wanted to. But what you face, even being in only D status is the order gets reopened and your agreed price gets squashed and a new price for today will be used. In your case, you could potentially remove an option and the price of the truck goes up. I’d keep the camera if I were you.

In other cases if someone wanted to add a $500 option, they essentially reorder, although keeping the same VIN, but the total price of the truck could go up $1500. Then it’s a real personal decision. And a real kick in the pants always knowing “I should have ordered it correct the first time”

ya i have seen that as well. i just dont know and neither dose the ram dealer i dealt with. his exact words are i cant tell you how ram is doing things anymore and your guess is as good as mine. i guess we will see when the truck shows up. so i have my fingers crossed. i am not a big fan of center consoles i do very long drives a lot and i like to be able to stretch my feet out. and the color of the interior on the long horn and limited i hated that you only had the 2 options. i miss the days of getting the dark grey vs only black. all in all im sure i will be very happy with it though cant wait to receive my truck first new truck in about 20 years. i have bought a few used ones in between,

It's the surround view , that's what confused me when I ordered.. I'm hoping it was taken care of..

the one for the rear view i believe is the extra camera in the chmsl light on the cab. the one your asking him about i have as well in my build and it attaches to the back of your camper or toyhauler. its called wired tow mode camera. you would place it on you camper where you want and then would get to see it in your rearview mirror while driving if im not mistaking. i might be wrong so if i am i hope someone will correct me as well.

I believe the only difference is Laramie B has power fold mirrors and power convex mirrors Laramie D does not.
