2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I don't put a lot of faith in the reps either from what I have tracked, seen and heard.
Amen, the dealership I used got the rep to look into my truck and had a promise to have it by 12/1. I don't have a truck yet. But it is getting close.

On Monday morning, my salesman told me my truck was in Eagle Pass, Texas. A few minutes ago Ram congratulates me on my new purchase and tells me my truck has entered the shipping stage. Brilliant. That's how accurate Ram Customer (Lack of) Care is.

I hope you got your truck already...... This Forum is monitored by RAM, FCA and personal who work for the assembly plant.......

Everyone has their opinions sir and I'm not knocking yours anymore than I did the original poster. But one thing I've learned in my Christian Life is to respect people regardless of their opinions. I've learned to take care of those who take care of others. I too don't see why RamChat, FCA, Stellantis or the Saltillo Assemble Plant, etc is ran the way it is, but I'm sure all sections of this process are being ran as efficiently as possible given today's standards and the shortage of products needed to complete the builds. I believe most any business can be improved upon regardless if it's McDonald's across the street or something an enormous as FCA and its secondary infrastructure. It has to do with people themselves. For instance, I contacted FCAAffiliates via phone yesterday and the first person I spoke with was an outstanding Customer Service Rep. Unfortunantely she had to forward my problem to another person in another department. Guess What??? I was totally disrespected and treated like a second class citizen. I too have contacted Ram Chat and received conflicting information, But do you see me blaming the President, CEO, ect? Again! Everyone has an opinion, I'll keep my Christian Opinion. Regards
I know this sucks, waiting so long for our trucks. But I am glad I am not dealing with the headaches that not only Ram has but also the rest of the auto industry. Guess the Christain part of me is thinking that God is teaching me patience. My truck will be here soon. If my truck has not taken so long I would not have found this site or made the online friends I have. There is a lot of great information and people on this forum.

It’s sad actually. I have purchased only a quarter million dollars of Chrysler product on my own and at least another 20 vehicles for friends that bought the diesel after hanging with me. You would think that Stellantis from top to bottom could do better.
Renae from MD managed my expectations from the first day telling me I would be waiting at least 20 weeks. Now I should be getting it in ONLY 14 weeks so I feel lucky. Some of us brothers in this struggle were told a line of BS by their sales folks and are now pissed.
Customer appreciation and service is a thing of the past. I treat ALL my clientele like I would like to be treated. Better actually.I

I feel the same way. This will be my 5th Cummins powered ram and I haven’t driven anything else in my adult life. I know that the current state of the world is leading to many problems that are beyond the control of Ram/Stellantis and that is leading to long wait times on orders. But my order is a prime example of the part of this process that is truly maddening. I’ve had a window sticker for a month now and my truck is still sitting in JS status at the factory with ZERO explanation from anyone! It would be great to have someone just tell me WHY the shipping of my truck has been delayed or try to get it prioritized. I hope that someone with Ram is looking at this forum, and will take this to heart…. When a customer calls your care line/ ramchat 6-8 times over a month and is referred to a brand mentor only to get a generic email giving me the exact same vague info that the call center gave me….. that is a poor excuse for customer service! A personal email or phone call and a “let me see why I can do” goes a long way.

Long wait= frustration

Doing nothing & being dismissive about the frustration = mad customer!

I know this is a long shot here but this forum led me to Mark Dodge and saved $10k on my truck order. Now I’m looking to do the same but with a Ford Transit cargo van. Does anyone know of a Ford dealer that works with special orders like MD does?

Don’t get me wrong here though. I’m a die hard Ram fan but I’m just not a fan of the Promaster vans.
Try Akins in Winder GA. Before the pandemic screwed up the production they were a super high volume dealer.

I figure it will show up in his timing. There's a reason it will show up when it does and maybe the reason will be revealed at that time.

I don't think the allotment issue is true. I went and dropped off a 24 pack of beer to the guy who does the new car orders today also who I bought my truck from and gave the assigned salesman a bottle of crown as well. The sales manager said my ordered truck has nothing to do with there allocation as its a sold order. he also said its a gamble no one can tell you when the trucks are being built or how they are prioritizing them. its almost like they are in grade school and pulling random numbers out of hats. but as far as allocation he said that's not my hold up its just how ram is operating. are they having structure issues where its a learning curve from the past year and dealing with supply shortages and probably trying to do there best and adapt absolutely. from my understanding ram is doing a better job than ford and Chevy after conversations with local dealerships.
Of course the dealership is going to tell you that..

I was calling both, haha. One of the voice automations was really finicky but after 3 or 4 times of repeating the number, it would take.

Mine worked but said it arrived in Chicago Dec 9. It must still be with bnsf then csx in Chicago.

Well, last night it said it arrived in the train yard near east St Louis…. This morning it says it departed and is expected in Texas on the 10th…. It’s supposed to go to southern Indiana so that doesn’t make much sense…. My dealer eta is Jan 7-Jan 20…. I wonder if the number we are tracking is used specifically for the car that the trucks are on, and that it’s a possibility that the trucks are unloaded and that train car continues on its journey??? If not, my truck gets to head to Texas for the second time ‍..

The trucks stay on the same car the whole trip, they shuffle the train cars around to connect the next train.

Does it say when it’s reached the final stop and been unloaded?

12/28 it went KZT for a 5 day trip to Centereville, that would be about the 3 or 4th of January, your truck probably got unloaded and the train is continuing on its journey. Will see anytime now if the truck gets to Gilstrap.

I got it to work. Just outside St. Louis.. my dealer is about 30 mins north of Louisville. Hopefully it will show up sometime next week! Is sitting 3.5 hrs away from me…
