Price negotiated from MSRP

There’s a thread dedicated to adding it. Have you read up on that one?
I have. I just don't want to spend additional time and money to add something to a brand new truck that should be on it from the factory. I can wait. I'm not blaming Ram because I completely understand their situation. I own a tractor and outdoor power equipment dealership and things are crazy. I quit counting last June when at the time I had lost 32 tractor sales due to not being able to get tractors. A mower brand that we sale, that is made in the USA, had over 800 2022 preseason orders in my territory alone for their best selling unit, and my territory is being allocated less than 200. I don't want to have to wait but I understand if I have to. The sad thing is that we are hearing that things will not start getting better until fall 2022 and will not be back to normal, whatever that's going to be, until 2023.

MSRP just went up $800 today.
MSRPs are going to continue to go up and don't believe the crap that once the pamdemic ends they will go back down. Their cost might come down but once a manufacturer knows he can charge x amount for a product, they will continue to do so. Covid backed up the supply chain, but by far the two biggest issues we are hearing from manufacturers that are affecting price and availability are shipping cost and labor shortages. China is out bidding everyone for space on container ships and driving the prices way up. Shipping cost alone for a 40' container 2 years ago was $2,000 to $5,000. It is now fluctuating between $20,000 and $30,000. Employers are having to raise wages and offering hiring bonouses, and they still cannot get people to go to work. It's just frustrating being a business owner during these times. It's frustrating being a customer. This wasn't directed at anyone on this forum. Just try to understand what businesses both small and large are going through. I'm just frustrated and needed to vent.

Ordered my Power Wagon with Ashlie at Chapman today. Unreal easy and 5% under invoice +$394 & taxes. (MSRP was 67,775, got it for 60,063).
Thanks for posting about them. Saved me a drive from PGH to St Charles.
could you confirm Ashlie's email address? The one I got a page or two back was kicked back as undeliverable. Thanks

Franko's post above is accurate, just used it yesterday. FWIW, I called in yesterday for a potential price on trade in and was told she was off but she still ended up sending me an offer if I traded in right now (good price but gonna wait until it ships). Every person I have spoke with there has been VERY straight forward and helpful, however they always do mention how slammed they are and busy so give them a little time, they will get back to you.

Thanks for the info. If the price works, I will definitely buy from them this time around. They are about 5.5 hours away, so I could even trade my 21 in and avoid having to deal with it after I buy the new one. Much closer than MD at 1900 miles!

I was going to order from them. Took them 3 days to get a quote to me. In the meantime the price went up $800. They do not offer price protection, which is what ultimately pushed me away.

Limited 3500 HO SRW $95,020 sticker and after a $10,525 discount I paid $84.495 or just a hair over 11% off MSRP.

Ordered from Prestige Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Longmont Colorado. Ping me if you want my sales guy info.
Vr6, interested in your sales guy info

She got back to me this evening with a price. Pretty much told me she didnt want my trade because of the prices they do their build orders at, which seemed weird, but whatever. Price protection is a huge consideration. Thanks

Mark Dodge (Lake Charles, LA) - 11+% off MSRP on 10/25/21

*They will pick you up from airport (Houston or New Orleans) to come take delivery. Will give you time flexibility for those flying in to take delivery also.
*Sandi has been incredibly easy to work with, helpful, and extremely responsive.
Looks like you ordered yours a couple days after I ordered mine. Sandi was great to deal with for sure.

For anyone looking, Bud Clary in Moses Lake is now invoice +$500. Gary says they’re no longer able to sell at cost.

Reached out to MD and Chapman about ordering a 3500: Been waiting nearly 2 days from MD for pricing, I'll give Chapman some time as I just emailed them this afternoon. I figure 3 business days should be solid for a dealer that wants business?

I never got a response from Chapman (AZ) ... been 2 weeks. Not in a huge rush, but I'll try bumping her.

Received my pricing from MD - $91xx.xx below MSRP for a $83.6k 3500 build. I'll wait on Chapman to see what they can do before making a decision. Either way, this is has been WAY more enjoyable than trying to shop local/regional - as no one moves on prices on available trucks (even with markup) around here.

2 days for MD seems odd. They are usually on it. I deal with Aaron. Last time I reached out for a quote, he was busy, so he passed it to Sandi to quote me quicker.

Mark Dodge order, 12/22

3500 Laramie 4x4 DRW 8’ Night Ed.
Pretty close to all the bells and whistles…
MSRP: $89k
Price: $79k

No one I called (about a half dozen Texas dealers) came even close.
One dealer, did come in below MSRP, but only after “negotiating” at $1k off…

MD price is solid IMO even if we weren’t in a hyper inflation period.
