2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Email from Cara this afternoon.... Multiple confirmations of this date, so hopefully it actually happens!!!!!
"Hello Scott,
This is a courtesy email update regarding your all-new Ram 3500 factory order status.
Good News! We have been provided an estimated delivery to dealer window of 01/10/2022 - 01/19/2022. Please keep in mind, this timing is estimated and can be subject to change."

Maximum steel metallic. It changes color some in different light.
We have Maximum Steel Metallic on our current 2013. We love that color and will be getting again with our new truck. It absolutely changes with the lighting and is not always the same appearance. It can be very dark gray (almost black) in darker light and blueish purple in bright sunlight. In normal daylight it it is dark grayish blue.

That’s a good thing. How do you find that info? I’m one of his 3 friends. I know, before you say it, I have super low standards.
I clicked on the @ username you posted and it popped up his "mini profile " if that's what it's called. Same thing happens if you click on anyone's username

If you have Ramboxes Add to your checklist Fit/Closure/Sealing

My drivers side Rambox lid does not seal against gasket when it closes.

Service appt almost as bad as waiting for truck 2 1/2 weeks before they can look at it
My 21 that I’m trading in neither side actually seals so it’s not usable. They can’t adjust the lids they need new boxes and my local dealer won’t cover it saying I bent them.

The tire price hike has begun! I had a set of 35x12.50x20 Ridge Grapplers in my cart, on Amazon for about a week. They were originally $405 a tire. 2 days ago, it alerted me of a price increase to $417. Today, same alert!! Increased to $527!!!!

I'd be happy if I could get my truck next week. After I got the window sticker on 11/15, I had an ETA to dealer of 12/15 - 12/31. When 12/15 came around, checked with RAM chat and it moved to 12/20 - 12/31. Checked with RAM chat again on 12/20 and it moved to 12/25 - 1/8. I've not checked with RAM chat again because watching the ETA shift out further is just depressing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the both of us that our trucks arrive in the next few days.
Sorry, man. I keep getting the same story. First date was November 15th to 30th. It has moved 4 times and is now January 10th.

That is a way better description of the color than mine was. Saw the color on a lot in early spring and knew I wanted it. Is not disappointing.

I think my tire pressure monitors are not reading right. I gauged them all to 70 psi and the monitor still reads 79 to 80 wondering what might be wrong. Tradesman package.

As far as I know, still in D status. Out of the many "ram chats" only once did someone give me a "ship date" of 01/02/22. We will see....3C6UR5ML4NG162264

just got told from ramchat ETA id 1/11-1/24. That would be 10-12weeks from the day i ordered

I’m in the dreaded D status too and today I almost bought off a dealer lot but it wasn’t a HO but everything else was my ordered trucks twin

Presumably you are setting pressures cold. Are you getting that much higher pressures right away or after you have driven a while - My tires gain as much as 7-8 psi after driving even on a day like today.

I am guessing there may be some moisture in tires - old problem using compressed air if you don't bleed air compressor daily. Thats why Nitrogen may be preferred to air - no moisture to affect pressure increases hot.

Another possibility is that it takes time to reset - if computer last read at 79-80, it will continue with that pressure for several minutes of driving before it resets to actual reading - had that problem first time they rotated tires on my 2500. Fronts showed 80 and Rears 60 - Assumed dealer forgot to adjust - Turned around and took it back to dealer but by the time I got back they were correct 60F, 75R

Other possibility is your gage - have you checked with a second gage?

I‘m a newbie to Rams, I’ve owned a Chevy 3500 Duramax and a 2020 F350 Powerstroke (turned out to be a lemon :(. I’m putting together a build and will be hauling a truck camper in it. One thing I’m confused on is with a Laramie and a Big Horn I don’t see the Surround Camera as an option anywhere. I see it in the Tradesman and the Limited. Does anyone know if you have to go to either one of those just to get the surround camera system?

Here is the build I’ve been playing with options wise, I’d like it to be loaded and I would like the Aisin transmission so was thinking the HO Cummins, but not sure if that’s really worth it. I’m also debating the megacab vs the regular. Thanks for any input!

I missed out on being able to order a silver edition. But, like you, I can’t find one just to see what I’m missing! It’s like a unicorn. Something that lives only in myths and legends.

I would check the calibration of your tire pressure gauge if you can. From my experience the tire sensors are usually not off more than a pound. I use a Fluke pressure/vacuum module on my Fluke digital meter to check mine. The Fluke module that I have measures down to a tenth of a pound and is factory calibrated. The factory tire sensors are usually off from a half a pound to one pound. I have had a couple in the past that were defective and were off by two pounds. They are like anything else that is mass produced. From a safety point of view they serve their intended purpose. If tire pressures are within three or four pounds of each other it's not much of a safety issue, although tire wear may be another issue. This whole tire pressure monitoring thing started back during the Ford Explorer fiasco when Explorers were rolling over which I believe was around 2001. I was a tech in a Ford dealership when this all occurred. From what I saw Firestone got a bum rap. I was seeing Explorers coming in for the tire recall that had tire pressures ranging from fifteen to twenty pounds and they should have been 32 pounds. When you combine that with a rack and pinion steering and a narrow tracking Explorer, the end results were not good. Shortly after that, the newer Explorers had a much wider track, which when combined with the existing rack and pinion steering that was used was now a much safer vehicle to drive. Following that was the beginning of tire air pressure monitoring systems. It all comes down to checking tire pressures at a minimum of twice a year when the seasons change but should be more often than that. Very few people when learning to drive these days are taught about maintenance of a vehicle like new drivers were taught years ago. Most don't realize they are taking their life in their own hands by not taking maintenance, especially tire maintenance more seriously.

You must have a better sales rep than I. Its been like pulling teeth to get any response to questions/requests. So far I only got 1 half cut-off image from the finance guy...
I haven't heard a word from my sales person since I was notified the truck was on a train. When finance contacted me about completing the paperwork I asked for pictures. I wasn't going to start any paperwork until I had pics to look at.
