2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Mine was loaded on a train on 12/16 and I believe was offloaded at Port Allen yesterday, 12/27, according to the rail car tracking. Now the up to 3 week wait for it to be transported to Mark Dodge.
How can you tell when it was loaded on a train and offloaded in Port Allen? Do all trucks go to that port in the South / Midwest?

So happy to have a build sheet and a window sticker! I see a lot of delivered trucks on the spreadsheet! The salesman told me 1/8 to 1/19 for me to get my trucks. IDK if this is delivery or shipping. Just happy it is built.

Mine is a Tradesman CC diesel. Ordered on 10/2. Salesman told me today that it is still on the train in Nebraska headed for Salt Lake City. Said we might see it middle of January. Must be a slow train.
That Train driver scratching his head right about now thinking,

“I Knew I Should’ve Taken That Left Turn At Albuquerque!”

I called UP to track the railcar through their automated system. Per UP it arrived on 12/27 and their update this morning says the car was unloaded and is now on it's way to New Orleans. So I'll admit I'm making some assumptions here, but it sure seems like the truck is off the train and waiting for transport.

I don't think so. But I do not know this for sure.

I knowingly ordered early (pre-ordered) mid July. I configured a 2021 and was in the bubble where they shut down the orders. I certainly wasn't in a hurry as my current truck runs great. With that said, I configured a 2022. Never expected my truck to be completed in Aug/Sept/Oct when the production didn't begin until late August. What I did expect was some sort of FIFO process (I know the May thru June people hear that loud and clear).
Most important, I expected a hint of customer service for spending a huge amount of money and being a multiple time return customer. Prior experience, I was able to watch my truck through each stage of the build process by logging into my account . It was self service, but provided the info I was looking for. RAM was FCA owned at that time. They were built in the same plant south of the border. Congratulations Stellantis - this one is on you that @RamCares doesn't care.
Customer loyalty and a good product are a lot like being in love....... Even if you Love them you will only take so much before you kick em to the curb ;)
So true, the only problem is there is not a better alternative. All of the auto makers are a hot mess right now.

Huge corporations are kinda like the government. Those at the top have a way of isolating themselves from the problem. In this case we call ram customer service and cannot get to the next level. There are real problems with supply chain and transport, but they just throw the little guy at the call center under the angry customer bus and hope it all blows over before it bites those at the top in the rear end! LOL!

First post here. Appreciate all the information and hard work that goes on here. Ordered mine on 07/08. Dealer said should be on the lot today. If in early enough can pick it up tomorrow as 50 mile drive to dealer. It’s been a long wait but excited to see it and get my hands on it.

I am very grateful mine is on the line since 12/22 but i'm thinking it's getting completed on hangover Monday..

Yes no production, but already built orders that are sitting in QC might see some movement. I got called in to do QC on another product line this week to keep something’s moving to make the quarter end financials look better and run a few more off the lot and off the books before year end.
Ram chat told me mine is built waiting on vendor installation of accessories. They also said call back next week after holiday break. So I guess the vendors are shut down for the week also.

LOL Crap! You missed all the excitement....... before you can take delivery you "Must" start reading at page #1 and that's an order! How dare you come on this Forum and first post stating your truck is at the dealer awaiting you. You haven't went through all the heartaches the rest of us has, especially those who ordered back in May time frame who are STILL awaiting their truck to be built.....

Wanted to share an update re: picking up and checking out your new truck. Fuses.

I popped out the lids of both fuse boxes on the driver’s side of my 2022 3500 NE Limited HO and pushed down the fuses. Don’t need super strength here, just light pressure. They all went in an extra 1/5-1/8 travel and popped in with a light click.

For me, after I did this, the 12” UConnect screen would not come on (light up). It worked, meaning that CarPlay came on, but did not light up.

To fix, I had to soft reset it and restart the truck.

After that, all is running well. Hope this helps someone.

Happy New Year, Go Bearcats!

. Oh I have been reading and commiserating with everyone on how long it takes, just not commenting. Did not find HD Forums until I started looking for truck information. Got here late in my truck wait, but glad I found it. Learned and learning a lot. Will continue to use site after truck gets here and explore all the rest the site has to offer.

Should get a notification like below from your dealer…

Thought I would throw my experience into the ring since it has seemed to be so average all the way. I have followed the spreadsheet, the comments, the reasons, and so forth, and pretty much the whole way through this wait, I have been right exactly in the middle of thread members experiences. I haven't been either one of the lucky 14 weekers or the unlucky 8 monthers. I ordered from Mark Dodge 8/17, just about when they started up production, so not dealing with waiting for 2022 production to even start. Built 12/9 and supposed to arrive at port today according to Sandi. Up to 3 weeks to deliver to MD, so I am looking at mid-January dealer arrival. (I do have the "large dealer bonus" there)

Pretty much exactly 5 months or 21-22 weeks for an average, no good or bad luck either way order. This seems to be the reasonable expectation from Ram under current circumstances. (for what little that is worth

I’m in a unique situation. Because of my location my truck will most likely never go on a train. I haven’t been given any ETA to the dealer. Is there any way to track whether it’s been picked up by a transporter? Those of you whose trucks got to a rail yard, was there any update between unloaded at the rail and arrived at dealer?

Unlikely - but possibly all Louisiana. Possibly some in south Mississippi or east Texas - but I would really think there would be better options around Houston and maybe Jackson Ms.

Just a lot of trucks on forum going to Mark Dodge in Lake Charles so there is a lot of forum traffic regarding Port Allen. My truck was trucked from Port Allen to New Orleans. Also some trucks on forum went to Sulfur, La thru Port Allen.

And as to Port Allen, the destination there is a railyard which is essentially Baton Rouge but on west side Mississippi River.
