2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I'm searching for my trucks twin, I won't have another SO with that 68rfe behind it.

I have one of those now but it’s got $7500 into it to not brake lol. And idk what to do at this point. I mean if ram could just say we are out of this option at this time want to change or wait or just simple honesty why I’m being skipped I just want honest answers..

Just means next time I will go to GMC and get whatever off the lot and drive it home that day.

Only problem with that is you would really only be penalizing yourself with a much lesser truck...lol. That's kinda like saying your gonna pick up whatever TC deer rifle is available on the shelf at the big box store cause your mad at Browning...

I went into the machine shop and made a few things for my 68rfe in my old truck. I don't want to have to do it again. They won't give open answers as I have told my dealership now news is not good or bad it's just news. Information so I can process and understand what is going on myself.

If you look at the tracking sheet and sort by VIN, you'll see just how many different combinations there are between the various major configurations. The fastest built truck on the list was 32 days from Order to Delivery, that being a
3500Big HornCrew Cab6.4L Hemi Gas4WDSRW

The longest confirmed delivery so far was 225 days:
2500LaramieMega Cab6.7L Cummins4WDSRW

I don't know the inner workings of their scheduling process, but it's pretty safe to say they can't build all these different configurations simultaneously. At some point, they're going to have to batch them out depending on specific options/availability.

I have a feeling with my luck I’m going to beat the 225 days. I hate that I come to this ranting on the forum but I just want answers and communication at least to my dealer when they at least say they have also tried getting answers.

Honestly no to me the GMC is not a lesser truck just not the perfect match for me at this time. Most of the trucks are built so closely together there is not much difference between them other than loyalty to the brand. To me if the brand isn't loyal to me then why should I be loyal to them.

My RamChat person said they can’t give updates once it leaves the factory. Has anyone received updates after? I swear I’ve seen people posts “post” factory updates, like delivery dates (albeit questionable) or updates.

Those updates will come from the dealer. They can provide rail updates, ETAs.

I am at 228 days with no delivery yet. Hoping to get it in a month or so though as it finally got built.

I'm still feeling your same pain, buddy. I've been getting plenty of unreliable info. They just keep moving that date every time one passes. Seven months and four days now, still no truck. I'm getting close to my Clark Grizwald Christmas bonus rant.

I’m at 13 weeks no movement at all on a limited and I’m guessing maybe by may or at least hope for the year 2022 some time since no movement and no reason or any info what so ever from ram or dealer. Also told if I didn’t order sunroof I hardly use anyway I would have by January well I’m definitely thinking I should of just ordered it because no way it’s going to be here is January from a sept 20 2021 order so good luck getting in 6 weeks
While I understand its not good to have overoptimistic expectations, I think you may be overpessimistic (hopefully). My 9/13 order was delivered to dealer 11/24. 3500 SRW Longhorn Megacab no Sunroof.

Question for anyone who ordered from Granger in Iowa. How’d they deal with the msrp increase? Did they pass it on to you or did they eat it? Can’t seem to get an answer from the dealership or from @zach@granger on here. Haven’t ordered yet, but they’re making me a little nervous.

I spoke with Amanda over there last week about this very thing. She confirmed that I’ll pay the price on the paperwork I signed when they took my non-refundable deposit. I said you’re sure? She said, 100%

You are misinformed! Dealer allocation includes both stock and sold orders!
I placed a order in January and had to wait until February for the dealer to
have allocation enough to order.
Not sure what to believe - I was told opposite - hence benefit of Special Orders to increase Dealer thruput and hence more willingness to discount Special Orders. Anyone with inside info care to clarify?

After it is on railcar and en route, Dealer can track to last rair transit point as of time he checks - or if you can get railcar number, there was another earlier thread on how to check directly with railroad. Use the search option if you dont want to read last 20 backpages. If it goes by ship, you can track ship if you can get ship's name - also in another previous thread.

we are not at all saying the samething. If you do sell a lot of trucks one month, your allocation is up, no additional trucks will be orderred that month, they stay in que and get fullfilled the next month. I am not goign to argue, i have told you why small dealers cant give as good as deals. You havae the information, use it as you please. Small dealers wish they could give you the same deals the big dealers do. They need to make money too.

Please take it to another thread.

I hate to point this out as there is valid pain for early orders not built yet that should have been at very front of the build que - but Production did not start until early August, so anyone who promised delivery before mid to late September was smoking the buyer.

But even 126 or 128 days from beginning of 2022 HD production is unreasonable. At least things seem to be moving - all but 1 of the May orders and 6 of the June orders finally have Window Stickers indicating they are in Shipping stage.

I think this is the right choice. I ordered from a local dealer in Denver that gave me about 4% off MSRP. However, they gave me a great number on my trade in, I’ll have the tax offset from that, and no hassle with getting my truck from out of state. I have done that when it made sense on RV’s, but for the truck the difference is negligible. So far my dealer has been great, and I’m comfortable with my deal. The most important thing to remember, is the new truck feeling!!

Who?

I bought my 2020 from AN Arapahoe and dealt with the SM. Got around 11% off (pre-covid order). They've also treated me well in service.

The other dealers in the area just didn't want to play for my business, or wanted to play games.

Sadly I’m looking on dealer lots I’ve already passed up 2 trucks on lots that where same color I ordered same trim 3500 mega cab limited HO and vins both after mine. and yes I was going to order long horn and decided last min to order limited now I wish I stayed long horn pry be driving it already. Sick of seeing all the trucks after mine built that are similar to mine and I can’t get a single answer to why I’m being skipped. Happy for the people who had to wait a whopping 6 weeks to drive new truck but I know at this point if I get a email mine moves to D1 it will still be 2 months if lucky so right now won’t see before march for sure. not a good experience so far ordering and skipping all the trucks on lots
owdiss78 - While there are people getting their newly ordered trucks asap (lucky them in my eyes), there are others in worst shape. Let me make you feel better by introducing you to sconym who is a May order (was the oldest order on the sheet with no movement) and just received a build sheet in the last week. There are plenty of June/July orders that have not yet gotten our orders and have no answers. VIN order plays no role in build sequence (ask the 1050 pages of members ). Good luck with your order, find an underdog with a really old order or damage / fob theft challenges and root for them - it might take your mind of your frustrations. ;)

I’m 9/20 order no movement at all 92 days in . If ordered longhorn yes I’d pry have it

I'll chime in that I purchased from Bob Allen in Danville, KY just a few miles from home. Paying POC Invoice on Aug. price minus anything else I can get....Tread Lightly (doubtful now, but maybe), PenFed (again doubtful). Invoice on my truck is about 6.9% under MSRP at time of POC. This dealing local helps (even if it's not supposed to) in getting in for service due to buying there....a little more good will for rentals/loaners, and those other intangibles that someday may add up to the 4%-5% difference in Mark Dodge over the life of the truck. And I would have flown and driven back....no trade at this time.
