2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Something I noticed on my build sheet today and found it on a couple of other build sheets was it said D1 to D regress. Mine went from D to D1 to D then back to D1. Not sure why that is on the build sheet, but maybe some of the members know?

You would think once it hit D1 you would be good to build. For some reason, it seems like they reallocate parts and push you back. Some of us also have D to BG status as well. No idea why!
We've seen the following status related line items on equipment listings:
> Schedule Move D-To BG
> D1-To-D Regress
> Schedule D To C Tracking

I don't know why a build would encounter any of these scenarios. But it's been interesting to see them listed anyway.

That's awesome. I was told from 10-22 through 11-09 when I did order that Night edition was not avail on a Laramie. Had to go with Limited.
I wanted to get a Laramie for the 8.4" screen so the seat heaters and vents are buttons, not hidden in the screen menus. But now after being that a Limited is ordered I've been letting it grow on me. Don't want to start over now.
Plus I looked into the builder more on the RAM website. Getting a Laramie with 8.4 screen means I cannot get the power deployable steps. If I select those steps it goes to the high level group with 17 speakers and all the safety lane assist and braking when in cruise control plus that 12" screen anyway. I didn't want all that. Best case would have been to keep the lower level package with 8.4" screen and add the power deployable steps after market. But like I said I'm over a month in and keeping it going.

Shoot, I tried to order on 11-10 and I was told the NE wasn’t available, took a couple days and ordered a Longhorn on 11-12.

Oh well, I bounced around the idea of the NE Limited but ultimately went with a truck that “suits you more” according to the wife. Still do love the all black look though

They are building inventory over orders.. look at vins sitting on lots..

You talking about generic trucks for dealerships?

anyone want to tell me where they get their status updates from? Ram Chat told me they don’t get the codes anymore.

Last I heard they were still collecting parts or something like that, so I’m assuming still getting the D

I wanted the same things seat heaters and vents and definitely prefer buttons to giant touch screen. The biggest reason I stayed Laramie is for the front bench seat. Also I figured I could just get AMP steps. So It is awesome that I can now get the truck just how I wanted it.

I got my VIN’s via ram chat using the VON from my original build sheet. Dealer didn’t put my email in for updates. Not a huge deal, just went and got the info myself.

Ordered 2 trucks the exact same day, 10/11. My truck is a 3500 DRW Tradesman w/ Level 2. It’s in transit and slated to be delivered between 12/15 and 12/27 so any day now. VIN 3C63RRGL1NG181207
Wife’s truck is a 2500 Lone Star Sport with Level C. Hers has all materials gathered and has been sequenced for production, but no window sticker yet. Her VIN is 3C6UR5ML0NG181040

I guess more technology means a slower build in todays world?

man oh man. that's the config I was looking for besides the bench seat. I want the back seat air vents to be off the floor.
One question though. if I ordered a Laramie with Level A equiment group, does it come with the wireless phone charging pad? I know my limited will.

I just might have to look into all this if so.

I spent a month building trucks before finally doing it. I’m pretty sure the wireless charging starts in the Longhorn.

Level A does not have it, level B does.

I’m I looking at something wrong? I’m not seeing it.

No…. Limited and longhorn stock units vins past 180 all over the place. December orders are now going D1 with 1/10 deliveries.. considering ordering a duplicate truck. I understand they have to ship units to dealers.. I am glad members are getting trucks.. many limiteds longhorns getting built. The only thing that makes sense to me is they have to distribute certain numbers to all dealers and zones and maybe that’s why they build out of sequence. Equipment does not seem to be the issue as same equipped vehicles are not built as far back as July and August… who knows…

It doesn’t show up in the configurator, but several members have confirmed.

Can anyone check my shipping status? NG107207. Went KZ on 12/8 but haven’t been able to get shipping status.

Ah, I mean I’m sure it could be put on later. I found the plug for cab overs on my 2500. All I had to do was by the wiring kit and stencil, drill and plug in.

I don't care what's in the back seat I don't sit there as long as there is enough room that my kids knee's aren't in my back.

Pictures as promised. Things ive noticed so far, the digital rear view camera isn’t easy to look at while driving down the road. My eyes have to change focus to see it. No problems in mirror mode but the camera mode takes a second to focus on. 2022 Laramie interior is far superior to the 2018 Laramie I traded in. It’s all black, instead of a mix of Black and Tan. Wireless charging DOES work with an IPhone in an Otter Box (I think someone was asking about that a few dozen pages ago). I’m not sure when the remote tailgate release will be handy, but it’s fun to trigger when showing off to friends. :-) The running boards on this truck are really great. Way better than the running boards on my 2018. The full power mirrors are extra nice also. It’s great not needing to manually adjust the little mirror. I’m getting 4 flush mount lights put in the rear bumper the week after Christmas. 2 wired in with reverse lights, and 2 on an aux switch for working on trailers and such. Also getting a light bar between the tow hooks at the same time. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I can make time to get the trailer cameras installed on my 7x16 enclosed tool trailer. That might be the feature I’m looking forward to using the most. One thing im not happy with is the 3 honks when I leave the truck while it’s running. Also, one of the key fobs got lost in transit, so the dealer is ordering me another. The key part of the fob was there but the fob part was gone.
