With quite a few of the users on here ordering their truck, for those that have already completed the process and have some seat time, are there any options that you are glad you included in your build (or wish you had included)….and any options that you included but could’ve passed on?

Have already received a quote on a 3500 dually, big horn night edition with the C package, did not include the premium lighting group but am thinking of going that route and have had a B&W gooseneck ball in my past 3 trucks, thinking of trying the Ram prep package

Options I’m currently going with, bucket seats, protection group (skid plates), 5th wheel prep, alpine speakers, LED bed lighting, center stop lamp/camera, 220 alternator, Level C, 50 gallon fuel tank, night edition

thanks

Aux switches and VSIM. This is the only option I wish I had on my Longhorn.

I went back and forth on a few options, including the premium lighting. I ended up ordering the upgraded lights and glad I did. I do wish I had memory seats (would’ve meant a Laramie over a Bighorn) as my wife changes seat setting when she drive. After which I feel like I’m constantly fiddling with the seat to get it back to my sweet spot.

I wish I could option out of all forward and reverse sensors. They are absolutely garbage, especially in Canadian winters.

I have no issues with my rear sensors on my 19 in northern Ontario except the rare time i have to wipe them when i am out plowing

the rear sensors are worthless with a receiver hitch. It is really surprising that the engineers didn’t design a system that would work with a receiver when you are not towing.

I got a PW with the 75th package so lots of options were included. I did get the bed group option, bed liner, led lights and step. I love the step and use it often.
HK stereo is nice. Have the bead lock capable rims but no bead locks.
Took the rock sliders off to install amp power steps.
Woukdnt order any factory steps knowing I'd put the AMPs on.
Kind of wish I'd at least gotten the front camera, but not sure I needed all of the cameras.
I didnt order a bed cover and glad I didnt. Got one aftermarket that's just as good, life time warranty, for 1/3 of the price.

Any kind of accumulation on the front during winter driving and they get an unavailable for use message. Rear stays constantly disabled due to them freaking out from a hitch. On snowy roads, they accumulate snow and don't work either.

Which all equates too, sensors not working for most of winter.

Yes i wipe them off when im out of the vehicle, but if i'm coming off the highway, i'm not getting out to wipe them off before i park.

My 19, 1500 had similar issues, except the dual exhaust would frost them up and they wouldn't work.

I wish I had ordered clearance lamps for my 3500. Only $95 to add to build.
I thought the 3500 comes with clearance lights standard. No?

I keep my fronts constantly disabled. I dont need it freaking out every time I pull up to park in front of a sign, or every time I pull up damn close to my community mailbox to avoid getting out. Drives me crazy.

I didnt option the hell out of my truck. Laramie Level A & snow chief with no other bells and whistles. I dont wish that I ordered anything else option wise.

I don't miss those blasted bumper sensors! They were stupid irritating, so I kept mine turned off 24/7

Absolutely love the Ramair suspension on my 2021 3500! Rides smooth with or without our 5th wheel attached. Of course the nite edition package ain't bad either....
