2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Long I-10 bridge (actually series of 2 bridges totalling 18 miles with a small break) - older bridge - 2 lanes each way - parts narrow with no escape shoulders - 55 mph limit if I recall - trucks mostly closer to limit but crazy's in cars / SUVs unfamiliar with area dont slow down - lots of accidents and no way to clear - if it gets closed there are places to connect to opposite side to get traffic off - only option is older, longer US Highway 190 about 25 miles north of I-10
Longest bridge with no turn around in the world

My understanding is Build Sheet (actually Equipment List) shows up when truck is built, but Window Sticker does not show up til ready for shipping - may be same day or truck may go to storage in between
I thought I read somewhere the build sheet pops about 1-2 days before assembly. Oh well.

I thought I read somewhere the build sheet pops about 1-2 days before assembly. Oh well.

Now I'm gonna send you back to page one!

Build codes.
Unscheduled:
BA
– order entered in system by dealer
BB – fleet order only – review by bid department
BD – special equipment processing
BE – edit error – coding error which must be corrected before order can be scheduled
BG – order has passes edit but cannot be scheduled regardless of sold status
BX – good order available for scheduling

Reason Codes:
F – Finance hold – automatic cancellation after 15 days
B – Model or option build out. Your order exists but isn't fully confirmed yet. Plant doesn't know about it yet. Systems are checking the order to ensure it's valid in terms of sales codes.
L – Material restriction
M – Material hold (fleet)
ZA – canceled order

Scheduled:
C – Tentative schedule. Your order is "subfirm". The plant can see the order at this point but it's not fully committed to building as the supplier may or may not be able to get parts to the plant to build the vehicle.
D – Firm schedule: serial number assigned. Firm order. Your order now has a name instead of a number:
D1 – Gate line: unit sequenced for production, est. ship date assigned.
The date is set for your truck to be built. The plant knows when it should have parts sequenced for building and it should start to be built within 48 hours of the date set.
D2 - It's going to be built. The computers are being programmed, materials are being sequenced, framing is about to occur.

Build:
E – Framing. Metal is welded together to form the body and frame. The body is inspected at the end of this step to ensure it's within tolerances.
F – Paint. The metal is coated, primed, sprayed, clearcoated, polished, inspected, and hand finished if necessary.
G – Trim. The engine is installed in the chassis, the interior is installed, the chassis is mated to the body, the bed is put on. At the end of this, your new vehicle is built.

Built:
I – unit built, pending final inspection. Your vehicle goes through a battery of shakedown tests and measurements are taken to ensure the vehicle looks and performs as expected.
J – Vehicle passed final inspection but not released to carrier
Get your Build Sheet here: https://fcacommunity.force.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing
(Build sheet input is CASE SENSITIVE)
JB – shipped to body vendor. JB/KZP-The vehicle is sent off site to have a spray liner put in, steps, etc.
JE – shipped to emissions
JJ – consigned to body vendor
JS – shipped to storage
KZ – released by plant and invoiced. The truck is ready to be shipped. The dealer is actually charged for the truck. As you all know, this can be a source of delay. Typically you see two statuses here: Awaiting Shipment and "Staged for Shipment".

You can get your (Monroney) window sticker here (add your VIN to the end) once it's KZ-L or KZ-M: https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=

Traffic Codes:
KZ L – released but not shipped
KZ M – first rail departure
KZ N – first rail arrival
KZ O – delayed/received
KZ OA – plant hold, quality audit
KZ OB – zone, dealer, sales, vehicle prep, tax, diversion or derailment hold, dealer refusal, vehicle diverted
KZ OC – carrier delay, strike-bound, emission or safety hold, rail car shortage, bad or insufficient load, inclement weather, need shipping order, manifest error
KZ OD – mechanical failure, glass damage, vehicle in repair, lacking parts or storage hold
KZ OE – misdropped or misshipped vehicle
KZ OF – shipped air freight, stolen vehicle recovered, show vehicle, test info code, vessel sailed
KZ OG – damaged vehicle, stolen vehicle, abandon to carrier, vehicle scrapped, donate vehicle, repair and auction
KZ OH – all other “O” type carrier codes
KZ T – second rail departure
KZ U – second rail arrival
KZ X – delivered to dealer
KZ Y1 – major damage – must not be sold as new
KZ Y2 – major damage – vehicle sold at auction

KZX - Delivered to your dealer!

You can put in your VIN here and they will email you when your build sheet and window sticker is posted.

I bought set of wheels and tires and I was hoping to get rid of my stock wheel and tires when truck arrives. Would a tire shop buy them for a decent price or I should try my luck with dealership I am buying the truck from?
A lot depends on Tire Dealer and Truck dealer, but I will try to answer in general based on experience. All this assumes 18 inch Firestone tires with essentially no miles from dealer.
20 inch should bring considerably more since they are a $1700 option, but don't expect to get $1700 for them. Cant speak at all for you guys with 17 inch duals.

Car Dealer A says "Not Interested" - Go see Joe's Tire Shop
Car Dealer B says sure if you are buying new tires / wheels through my Parts Dept, but they lowball value because they are probably going to sit on them for a while and may or may not get back what they put in. (Back in the day I bought a set of Porsche 944 takeoff wheels from my dealer that listed for $500 ea for $300 for the set). My local CDJR dealer had 3 sets of Jeep tires / wheels forever - I think he finally moved them cheap (or maybe he put them on used vehicles?)

Tire Dealer C says If you buy $1500 worth of Michelins mounted on your stock wheels, I will give you $70 a tire but I dont want the wheels (Personal experience in Illinois).
Tire Dealer D sells you new tires and buys takeoff tires for $400 (good dealer)
Tire Dealer E takes tires and wheels - but knows his buddy Joe is looking for wheels for his Snow tires this winter - he either lowballs you or gives you a fair price (flip a coin)
Tire Dealer F takes tires and wheels - again lowballing you and sells tires but finally in desperation sells wheels on Craigs List for $300

And realize some of this depends on what else is going on - are you getting a discounted price on new tires / wheels - or paying list price in which case you may get more for trades?
Does the car dealer have a used truck on his lot that needs tires or he can dress up with your wheels and get more for truck - but realize he can buy new Firestones wholesale for about $150 ea

SO now its Craigs List or FB Marketplace or your buddy Joe
If you are talking 18 inch OE Firestones, you can buy the Transforce HT new under $200 + tax, so takeoff tires alone are a $600 upper limit value in my mind
If you are talking 18 inch wheels alone it depends on Longhorn, Laramie, or BigHorn. eBay is currently flooded with Laramie 18" wheels going for $449 +150 shipping at low end to $685 incl shipping at high end. No Longhorn or BigHorn wheels currently listed. So maybe Longhorn / BigHorn wheels a bit more (I am looking for a set of Longhorn 18 inch so I have been looking)

A Tx wheel trader with hundreds of sets of tire/wheel takeoffs typically asking around $1200 a set - currently the only set of Longhorn wheels I have found and well used with worn out tires, he still wants $1200 (probably would negotiate - since he is asking same for relatively unused Laramie tire/wheel sets and the tires on the Longhorn wheels are worn out - I would value no higher than $600 if wheels are not scratched up and you are close enough to avoid shipping costs)

Probably best to try to sell as a set (assume you are keeping the TPMS for your new wheels - new TPMS sensors $30-60 each, break top bead and replace with new truck valves ~$3 ea). Around here Ask $1200 / take $1000, if they are listed for more than a couple of weeks drop to $1000 OBO (take $800 - or split up and try to get $500-600 for tires and same for wheels - but factor in cost to dismount if splitting - but whatever you do, dont sell a single tire or wheel.)

How do I find what tires I get on my truck? The build Sheet says "LT275/70R18E BSW All Season Tires". Will I be able to sell stock wheels and tires for around $800?
All Season should be Transforce HT - which are the default tires unless you opted for Off Road or Snow Chief pkg or one of the 20 inch options, then you would get the Transforce AT
And you should be able to get $800 for tires and wheels esp if you sell locally - any shipping eats into value. See my more detailed response.

Correct, it gets the window sticker after it passes the factory inspection, it my go to storage first and come back or get it when it comes off the line.

Thanks man for recommendations! If it sells for $800 I probably buy Bakflip MX4 right away

I have these 37s sitting in my garage waiting for my loaded NE Laramie Drw to show up. Little eye candy for you.

The dealership probably won't give you crap for them, that's why I sold them to my local tire dealer. If you sell them right away they are worth at least $400 ($100 per tire). I put better "snow" tires (equivalent to a 33") on these stock Ram wheels and plan to just use them for winter. As well as you, I'm planning to put custom wheels and 37' tires on for spring/summer. I am planning on putting a 3" level or 5" lift on mine.

Welp, another week, another RamChat:

Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your order is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process. The parts required to build the vehicle are being scheduled and as soon as they available and ready, order will be scheduled for build.

6/21 order. 2500 Limited MegaCab Hemi

Holding on to a shred of hope that the truck is built week of 11/21 like Sandi told me over a month ago.

Have faith my fellow June orderer. My 6/14 truck almost here. The pain will end soon.

Finally back to reality after 11 days in Baja for the Baja 1000. 40 pages of updates since I left! I am not going to go back and read all of the 40 pages, so I hope that a bunch of you got your trucks in the past 11 days!!! As for me, this is day number 200 since my order on May 7. I was hopeful that @brv10 was right and that I would come back to a build sheet, but that didnt happen. My last POC had a ship date of 11/24. I highly doubt that will happen, but I can dream that might be my build date??????

Hang on, I can feel you’re close. Back in the days I was threatening to cancel and order a Ford, I thought I’d never ever see a build sheet. Truck due in 6 days.

Having my snow tires put on right now, I will have a set of 89 mile 18 inch Firestones for sale. I just looked at my window sticker, it said this truck was made especially for me, with my name on it..

Can you share, or reshare brand, size, rating details. We get the same snow here in Ohio you do in Pure Michigan.
