Buddy of mine drove by the yard in port allen the other day and he said its packed. We get most of our tahoes and silverados delivered thru port allen. Def a major hub for all vehicles coming thru. You guys have created one helluva roadblock in Port Allen!!![]()
124 miles sure would not take 3+ hours? Now the 2 hours I understand is without traffic holdups. But driving the speed limit it was under 2 hours last trip I did across there.Port allen to lake charles is a good 2.5 to 3 hours if not a bit more

Makes the wait for it to come out of Mexico seem easy eh?The worst thing is to know that it is just sitting there in the yard two hours away from dealership and four from my home.

Port Allen Rail Depot - must be a half a dozen trains with at least one car loaded with trucks for Port Allen since Nov 1 if you have been following - seems like a lot of them for Mark Dodge, but mine is there waiting to go to Bergeron in New Orleans and no doubt others to south LouisianaSo what trucks go though Port Allen? Is it by ship? RO/RO's to be specific.
I know a coupe Baton Rouge ship pilots and it would be cool to track a couple Ram trucks if I had the means.
Thanksgiving travel - busiest travel time of year - planes, trains etc full to capacity pre Covid - now less flights, supply and demand.$94 when i looked last week for next week. Then got the email and they're $419 all this week and next and the week after that... I was pissed but I didn't hesitate lol, just didn't bring the kids!
Traffic stopped on bridge 3 hrs last week when wife driving that stretch of I-10. Have seen that bridge shut down for over a day with bad wreck. Be happy with anything 3 hr or less.124 miles sure would not take 3+ hours? Now the 2 hours I understand is without traffic holdups. I drive it a lot and its rarely 2 hours from lake charles to baton rouge. I hate driving in the state to my east.124 miles sure would not take 3+ hours? Now the 2 hours I understand is without traffic holdups. But driving the speed limit it was under 2 hours last trip I did across there.
