2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Seems like a lot of mega cabs being built and delivered lately, must have done a run of them.... maybe my CC Longhorn hemi will grab on to the tail end of a group of those soon.....more likely not. Dang Grizz, buck up man, it's gonna be Feb at the earliest, deal with it!

We have fairly similar then. Gasser Limited MC

If I’d known about Mark dodge I probably would have went with the limited. Only 4K more than my Laramie. I just went with the crew cab though. I didn’t really want the 12” screen either. It’s nice that’s for sure but I also kind of like being able to control the temp and stuff with buttons. It’s probably not bad being able to split the screen so you don’t have to go through all the options each time you want to change what you’re seeing. I’m super excited about getting mine and love my build! Hoping it comes in next week but can’t pick it up til probably Dec 1st anyways. This last part of the wait is the worst!

I wanted the Limited too but, I wanted two tone and that was more important to me so I will have Laramie with 8.4” screen. I couldn’t see paying an extra 1,200 for the 12”

I have the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT on Battle Born 18x9 +18 on my 2019 2500 and will be switched over to my 2022 3500 when it get's to Mark Dodge and I really like them. Got them from Discount Tire for $247ea minus the 10% military discount. They do hold small rocks thou as the only drawback, ride smooth and are pretty quiet. The 275/70/18 have the 3 peak snow flake on them.
I think many people don't realize that the 3 peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) show's that they have competed against the same test's as dedicated snow tires. To have that symbol they must provide traction for starting and stopping in severe snow/ice conditions. I believe its all about stopping in icy conditions....its usually much easier in most conditions to get rolling the really hard part is the stopping. I think Cooper made those tires better around the same time that Falken Wildpeak AT3W's came out with their 3PMSF. I have the Falken's and they do work really. really well in icy/snowy conditions much better than an AT or MT tires and just as good as a set of dedicated snow tires.

Me neither! It looks really nice but not necessary. I do kind of wish I’d gotten the safety group B but for the price I didn’t really need it although after having a rental car recently that had the lane keep and adaptive cruise that is a really nice feature to have.

And dont forget (1) the Environmental Impact of the Battery Manufacturing Process (Material Mining and Hazmat Processes) and (2) the cost of Removal and Replacement of Batteries and (3) the Hazmat issues with Batteries removed from Service and (4) the Environmental Cost of generating the Electricity to Charge Batteries and (5) the need for additional Power Generation (Coal, Oil, Hydro, NUCLEAR, etc - Solar and Wind are both non-constant and not terribly efficient, especially to transmit over distances to users) and systems are already stretched to capacity in many areas).
What I know:
electric charging station money in the infrastructure bill was cut in half at the last min from 15 Billon to only 7.4 billion
good luck with the plan to build 500k level 2 charges at that price. (it wont happen). And if its not at least a level 2 charger its worthless.
Not to mention how long people will be waiting in line to charge after they dump all these EVs on the street with no infrastructure.
they also lowered the EV sale price to get the full 12000 rebate, and its only for specific union made vehicles.
Its going to be years before the EV change over occurs, and even longer if the house flips in 2022.
Just my 2 cents

The 3 peak is a plus - and the Michelin Agilis Cross Climate also has 3 peak rating and if you believe Tire Rack, the Agilis (8.8) is better in Snow than the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT (8.1) (I can probably believe that) but equal 8.6 each in Off Road (Hard for me to believe) - just something about the tread pattern that does not look like a truck tire - and yes I know picture of tire is probably not the right size.

My feeling is EVs are mostly Smoke and Mirrors as to any real world application - range, charging time, other limitations (last week wife stuck on I-10 in Louisiana 95F heat for 3 hr while they cleared wreck on Atchafalya bridge - 6.5 hr trip took 10+ hr - previous trip stuck on I-10 in TX with no exits for 2+ hr in summer heat - what do you do shut off ev and bake?) - Guess one benefit may be less vehicles on road with EV limitations, maybe less wrecks?

The biggest reason I got the safety group is to help with the insurance. I traded 2013 Ford Fusion for a 2022 Toyota Highlander and it came with all the safety equipment and our insurance went up $11.00 a year same coverage. I’m know the 2500 is going to be more vs 1500. I’m hoping the safety groups will help with the Laramie 2500.

Ahhh, so that must be why. I was happily amazed when I got an insurance quote on my ordered $90,000 3500 Limited. Trading/selling a 2012 stock $25,000 Prius and the insurance goes up by $130. I couldn't understand it, but certainly wasn't going to argue. :)

Looking like the truck will be here 11/30-12/3.

Here’s what’s in store, after much research…

FluidFilm rust prevention (at a shop)
PremiumShield PPF
Glassparency Graphene coating
UnderCover ArmorFlex tonneau
Ram molded splash guards

the insurance quote for my truck barely went up from my 2014 ram. I was surprised too.

With all this tire talk, it reminds me of the frustration I have with my 2018 ram 2500. Hate the government mandate requiring my back tpms tire sensor be set at 80 psi. You can definitely feel every ripple in the road. Besides the fact I don't like driving around with no load and tires set at 80 psi causing weird tire wear. Anyone know what the tpms are set at for 2022 2500's? Wish they could be adjusted down a little instead of driving around with a tire aired up so high when not max towing. The warning light/screen is incredibly annoying!

I believe the 2022 settings are adjustable. Dont have my truck yet - hope someone with truck can confirm.
