2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I like it but am leaning towards the LEER HF650M if I can verify the bed of the 2021 and 2022 are identical where it attaches. Leer can’t even tell me. You can open your tailgate without opening the cover, correct?
Yes, but I have to make sure I lift up the end before shutting the tail gate or it would crush the rubber seal but its no biggy. I went this route cause it was a bit cheaper. I didn’t want a folding one cause you loose bed space.

So from the times our trucks begin the "shipping process" how long on average does it actually take? My truck is going to Florida btw....

This was an email I received from ram customer care who doesn't respond to questions "Good news! I show your order has completed factory production and is presently in the shipping process progressing en-route to your ordering dealership."

That was 2 days ago and as of today, there is still no ETA at all.
Probably 20 days to there. But some people get stuck in JB for a while.

I posted a response earlier today from my guy that handles all my fleet orders and he said that he had reached out to our Ram rep to find out what was going on with my truck... Well, I just received another follow up and GOOD NEWS it is! In short do not trust any status updates you receive unless they are inside information @brv10 and others have given. Below is the follow up.

Hey Rob,

You’re about to hear about a Christmas Miracle.

Your truck is actually already built, shipped, and is sitting at the port in Benicia. There’s still about 2 weeks before it will be at the dealership and prepped, but much better than what we thought.

Best,

You are the only other person with that cover that I have heard closes it the correct way. I see everyone else with the x-15 just close the tailgate on the seal.

I am think about diamond back it's around 2K. I wonder if they can color match or is just black.
Black or plain aluminum. I got the smooth surface instead of the diamond plate. It looks good. Have had two Bakflips on last two Rams.

thanks for the estimate. my salesman originally told me a week to ship and arrive but that doesn't seem to be happening at all lately.

Mine is still on the train in Detroit waiting to be offloaded, guess it better than sitting in the lot, pissed, my dealer can't get it because it's on the train, I got Ram involved too.
Sure sucks, but on the car. It might not get stripped tonight. I think I heard mine is hunting a Gator in LA swamps. Hanging out with Granny eating craw-fish.

Ohhh, yeah I want to go there. I hear it’s fun but I don’t think anything in the US compares to Glamis. 500’+ dunes and bowls. Miles and miles to ride.
The St Anthony dunes are huge! I would like to check out Glamis sometime but I'm only 3 hours from St Anthony and 2 from Little Sahara

She’s making good progress! Right around the half way mark in the journey. A little over 1,000 miles left to go. Hopefully there won’t be too big of a thanksgiving delay and this thing will be here on the front end of the dealer delivery estimate.

How did you get that info?

Yours might being going by ship or rail.

As expected, no movement, still all materials gathered and should enter the build very soon. One new twist, they said they don't have a dealer ETA yet. Well if you don't know when it will even be built....

I asked specifically if they have build dates available to them and was told they don't have access to that.

I think they use a special made magic 8 ball toy to provide answers. Give it a shake and 'thanks for holding, we are showing...'
Build dates and delivery dates are never correct, when it gets built its built, same for delivery, although the delivery dates are getting a bit better, don't believe them.
