What did you do TO your RAM today?

I didn’t do anything to it so far today. Glad that’s true, glad I woke up and everything is normal cuz I dreamed that I rolled the Ram last night. Not far fetched at all considering my track record, so it was very realistic lol.

So the Pro Cal will do that? Earlier today in a FB group a member was saying the instructions said he needed to visit the dealer after programming the TPS to get it to stick. I told him to go find a buddy with an AlfaOBD and bypass cable. Maybe I should have just told him to read the instructions better! LOL
That is for 18’s and earlier procal. 19 and up use the procal snap and no dealer visit necessary. You use a bypass harness that plugs into the back of the obd and greenstar block.

I use my AEV pro cal, it’s super easy to use.

Some may wonder why I chose 45 psi if I run 55psi. Well, I need to run 49psi to match my gvwr with these tires but the tires I want to get (soon? maybe?) will require only 42psi to carry the same weight (I’ll probably run 45) so I was just future proofing my settings.
I started at 45 but but ended up going to 35 as after weighing my truck loaded i realized i only need to be at like 30psi in back.

Valid point with the unloaded weight. That would definitely be the way I would go if I put more miles on the truck unloaded. Do you have D or E tires?

The tires I have now are E rated 4080lb @80psi, I have been running them at 55 but just switched to 50psi. The tires I’m looking at getting are D 3860lb @65psi still plenty of load and will give a better ride.

I try to find a balance of ride quality and load capacity so I don’t need to worry about adding air if I need to go pick up a pallet or two of salt or hooking up the trailer for a spontaneous wheelin trip.

E rated toyos 35x12.5-17 use this chart. https://www.toyotires.com/media/3729/application_of_load_inflation_tables_20200723.pdf

You’ve got that air compressor hooked up now, adding air is no big deal. ;)

I use my GVWR of 10,000lb as my target value for tire inflation. I want to keep her afloat and don’t want to make daily adjustments.
I guess if you are at your 10,000 gvw that is ok. most of the time I am not even close to my max gvwr and even fully loaded with gear and gfc I am at 8840lbs on a cat scale 4620 front and 4220 rear. only need to 2110lbs capacity for a rear tire. running around most of the time I am at under 7500lbs with maybe 2900lbs at thre rear. I notice my tires wear perfectly at the lower psi. I get it tho it is what makes us comfortable.

Did the ceramic coating on the paint today.

The Mopar mud flaps better get here quick, I found 2 chips already with 90 miles on it.

I also need to order the vent visors. Window tint in a week. December 16th is Krown rust proofing ($160).

Added a hidden winch . Custom built the winch plate for my 2019 1500 5th gen. Upgraded to a 2500 and modified. Just finished today
What model winch did you get? and how easy was the install ?
Looks awesome !
thanks!

Today I had the spray-in bedliner & Retrax cover installed. I also had the spray put on the running board between the two rubber stepping spots. The running board was installed at the dealer where I purchased, sight unseen. The truck did not come with factory running boards, and I knew I needed them to get in and out easily - my wife needs them to get in period! So, made a good deal but then realized how they are configured we could slip on the bar getting in/out. That's fixed. Took a pic with the truck slightly in & out of the direct light as the sun was getting pretty low. Thought the different shades of color was worth sharing.

The Geno's caps arrived in the mail, will put them on later. I'll give a shout out to Geno's customer service. As they have a back order on the locking DEF, I order the non-locking DEF cover. I also ordered the DEF tether, which broke while trying to get it on. I wrote to them & they pointed out the tether is only for the locking DEF. So, I thought I was out $6.00 for that, no big deal. But they refunded me that anyway!
