2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Good article explaining what was done a couple of years ago. A few pages back, someone posted an article showing the differences between HO and SO. I thought it showed the HO going up to 19:1 compression. This may be how they got higher numbers in HP and torque. Does anyone know for certain if there was any other major changes to the engine/drivetrain?
Actualily the HO has lower compression of 16:1 to allow for additional boost.

Michael (11/5/2021, 8:09:50 AM): I am showing VIN 3C6TR5EJ0NG121820 is currently in the shipping process, the current ETA for delivery to the dealership is 11/14/2021 - 11/22/2021

I am showing VIN 3C6TR5EJ4NG121822 is also currently in the shipping process, the current ETA for delivery to the dealership is 11/17/2021 - 11/26/2021

Got his from RAMCHAT this morning

In the discussion on clear coating. I'm uneducated in this department. What is involved, what is the advantage/disadvantage?
Most all new cars and trucks have a clear coat on them. Its a resin system without using google. Yes, you want it. It basically goes on top of your paint and protects it. It will help keep the paint intact. Coatings are very important. They protect from rust and most have a UV protection on them.

If you want a better coating system on top of that you can also put a ceramic coating on top of it. I would make sure that you hire someone that is qualified and has a proven track record on putting these on. If done wrong, they can mess the look of your car or truck up for a few years. I was going to have a system put on my truck before it was totaled, I just could not find anyone that really was qualified to do it locally. Do you research

The higher compression of the SO explains a lot. Many users report that SO /68RFE equipped vehicles are more peppy when driving around town, people assume this is a difference between the SO and HO transmissions. After learning there is a 3 point difference in compression I am willing to bet the extra pep down low is a direct result of increased compression. There is a fairly large difference in peak power /torque between the SO and HO but to take advantage of the HO power the truck needs to have a load on it (towing). I am curious if the SO and HO utilize the same turbo and if so how much more boost the HO models put out.

Finally some light at the end of the tunnel..

Ram Chat this morning.....
"Thank you so much for holding. I am showing all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process very soon."

finally a different message than the waiting for parts message.

Question, this might have already been answered but I can't seem to find it.

Does the build sheet come after the truck has been built?

My understanding is the Equipment List shows up when Truck is built but the Window Sticker does not show up until Truck is released for Shipping / Invoicing. My truck was held in JS status for 2 weeks between Equipment List and Window Sticker

Because I like to be punished I went ahead and ordered the Bakflip MX4 with RAMBOX today for the future truck. Went to Bakflip direct for $972 +tax and free shipping versus the sale price of $1079.99. Pays to contact them direct or via chat and ask for any discounts. Always loved this brand and had no issues. They list them available for all 22 MY trucks now (before they did not). Congrats to all those getting build sheets and stickers, the more that populate the closer I get to mine! Still scheduled for 08 Nov build as far as anyone can tell me.

I spoke with RAMCHAT yesterday asking about when new build options would come available and they were not able to give me a date just a range of every 30 days the factory offers different sales code grouping to be released. Does anyone know if its a month to month format or if its a certain date...I'm just antsy to get to hurry up and order and then wait (I'm mil so nothing new).
