I may do the same. I swear most of the swirls and paint defects on my 2017 were there from the day I picked it up. Probably some kid with a $2 Autozone spunge out back behind the dealership

Paint quality has gone down over the years, we can thank the EPA for this. Clears are quite a bit softer and scratch rather easily. If anyone is considering a ceramic coating on their trucks please spend the time and prep the paint. At a minimum clay and polish before applying any coating.

So Ramchat claims today my truck is in the paint step. Anyone know of where that falls in the process? As of Tuesday there was no estimate on the truck being started, and I am running out of good weather to drive my "toy car" so I was going to go buy a different one off the lot. Dont want to get my hopes up but dont want to jump the gun either.

And for comparison, this is a Crew Cab, long bed, 4x4, 3500 dually standard output 6.7L Cummins with the optional 4.10 gear set and non air suspension. It is a maxed out Limited Longhorn (all electronics and sunroof, aside from the trailer camera voodoo).

I was shocked to see how high mine was. I thought with the 3.73 axle i would be somewhere around 26-27k. I thought the 30k barrier was only bested by the 4.10 but wow…32.6k is wild!

I am seeing a trend of some trucks getting assigned and loaded on a railcar in Mexico and not being updated for travel, just a few so far, also it looks like Mark Dodge is getting a lot of trucks put on the same railcars, Party on delivery!

Did you enter your VIN to get that or just the specifics of your order? It doesn't recognize my VIN yet, but I came up with the same numbers after entering what I ordered. Seems way high to me. I was expecting around 23-24k towing with about 4k payload for a SRW HO MC 3500

• No front plate
• No dealer decals
• Leave all interior protection
• No washing

I’ve seen how dealers “detail” a vehicle. Same as my 6yo would.

Got my VIN. Order date was 10/28. 3500 Limited. I’ll need to learn max patients won’t I?

I reordered my Limited on the same date. Looks like you are 19 spots before me. I also got the 3500 Limited CC HO 8' box. I haven't seen many of these being built as yet. Maybe we will be grouped together in the same build time soon. My rep said 16 weeks. We will see.
