2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Supposedly I was in paint yesterday, but that was from ramchat. Still no build sheet on ran site (Chrysler gives me an error and haven’t tried jeep). Idk maybe I was too early but I never got one the automated Cara emails. I’m just hoping a build sheet populates soon for me.

I would just want to make sure that it looked like what they install from the factory. I hate the idea of something so simple like that looking like an afterthought
The Mopar one I put on my 2015 looked good - and it worked great

Breaking news guys.

My dealer informed me this was coming. As of Oct 21 there is a stop sale on Cummins trucks that have been built during that time frame. Which means you can no longer take delivery of a new truck until this issue is fixed. Oh and by the way Ram has no fix to the issue currently.

I spoke to Aaron, he wasnt too optimistic about a decent timeline to reorder. Not a fan of the wheels for sure but I can deal with the rest of the chrome. I love the look of the painted bumpers but i've seen a few comments on here about it not holding up well to rocks on the road so i'm just going to bite the bullet and keep it.
I ha the painted bumpers on my 2015 Limited in southeast Louisiana and never had any problems

I think there is a fix as it only effects trucks built on the below dates, taken from main article. The trucks manufactured after these dates are fine and must have the updated fix:

The vehicles affected are as follows…

  • Ram 2500 (DJ) Pickups built between August 3rd, 2020 and October 8th, 2021 (67,597 units)
  • Ram 3500 (D2) Pickups built between August 5th, 2020 and October 8th, 2021 (39,324 units)
  • Ram 3500 Chassis Cabs (DD) built between August 12th, 2020 and October 7th, 2021 (7,317 units)
  • Ram 4500/5500 (DP) Chassis Cabs built between November 13th, 2020 and October 8th, 2021 (16,939 units)

Lol. Well, I guess the good news about my forgotten 05/07 order is that I am not affected by this.

IF they aren't delivering because of the Cummins issue, are they still building and holding or??????????

Every single painted front bumper I have seen on a truck that has some miles on it always has some rusty chips in it. I will never own a painted front bumper for that reason. Chrome holds up way better in the long run. Maybe you could get the chrome bumper wrapped along with some of the other chrome bits...

Hopefully there is. My truck has been sitting in storage since 9-14 and I'm guessing its because of this issue.

Starting to get a little agitated. Sandi told me yesterday my truck was scheduled to be built the week of 11/21. But, someone with access looked it up and I’m still in D status. I contacted RamChat and they still say I’m in D status. I asked RamChat who to believe and they said that they would have the most up to date information

Ram chat always tells me to ask my dealer for the most accurate information.

I just looked and did not see a live recall or a stop sale yet, I do see a 10/23 date but am not sure what it's for yet.
